Good Cover-Poor product
My initial reservations started with the manual. Apart from the typos and the odd word of a language I don't speak, the manual was near to worthless. Most frustrating was getting the range finder to work. Basically pointless game if you cannot range the targets and have to work out the range (if you live that long) through trial and error. The system requirements need to be a lot higher than those specified. Otherwise, you spend a lot of time waiting to regain control. Most frustrating of all however is that I coould not find a way to control any of the weapons with the mouse rather than cursor keys. It tried the config menus but the mouse option is not available. With this game, I cannot stress how difficult (even you range finder working) it is to hit a moving target using cursor keys.If this game had the intuitive tank control lay out and control options of say Operation Flashpoint 1 I would be very happy. Sadly it does not. Would not recommend.

worse than worst
The graphics engine is monumentally slow, appears to be more 2d than 3d,I think the textures have been robbed from Manic Miner.Gameplay is tedious, boring, bland.Tanks overturn for no apparant reason or get stuck on a fence post. Why bother with such tripe ? it is more interesting to watch the testcard on TV.The landscape is interactive, but touch any of it and a whole bitplane of graphics just falls over in one sheet - absolutely terrible.Sound is monotonous. This "game" cost me £10 (unbelievably the full price is £30).This is £9.99 too much.Waste your money on tiddly winks - it's heaps more fun !

absolute garbage
i was really looking forward to this game when i was reading about it in a magazine, i have been looking for a tank game that gave as much fun as panzer front did on the ps1. i bought the game and read through the manual which a lot of it didnt make sense. in order to run this game to full potential you need a very good gfx card too. saying this the foliage looked very good and the tanks were pretty well modelled. the infantry looked like something off a c64 though.the gameplay itself is near impossible to master and the manual isnt anyhelp either. e.g enemy tank spotted by the time i got the range coz the range finder wouldnt work i was dead. i found the game very annoying and is hence now in a box somewhere.

Not that bad... I enjoyed it.
I don't think it is as bad as the other reviewers have posted, yes it has niggles but overall its pretty accurate. Sometimes it can be frustrating, especially as the enemy can spot you when they shouldn't really be able to. But the deformable terrain and landscapes I like and think its quite a deep game. I found that by perciveering I got more out of it.
