Illustrated Fairy Tales

I have been a long-time fan of Usborne books. In fact, even as I'm writing this review, I'm waiting for the Usborne Greek Myths (Fairy tale) Hardcover book to be delivered. So, you can imagine my commitment to this particular publisher.This particular book is more suited for:-(a) reading to newborn for bringing new words into their vocabulary,(b) toddlers who don't read yet but can sit with you as you read the fairytale. And they follow the story through the pictures and illustrations, and(c) kids who are just starting to read since the fairy tale is written in lucid, easy to understand style and the illustrations and will pique their interest and excitement.Oh...By the way, I don't have a kid. And I buy these books for myself. LOL. Who says adults can't enjoy kiddie books. If you don't have a kid, buy it for the child in you. Happy Reading everyone!!!

As with all Usborne books, this is beautifully illustrated.Contains 10 fairy tales, decent size print and clear, pretty pictures. Well written and easy for kids to follow along.Downside is the cover (appears to be very flimsy, and the binding will not last long). The size could have been a little bigger too - this is just 20cm in length.One star deducted since the description showed "Country of Origin" as United Kingdom, but the version recieved clearly shows "Printed in India"

GOOD FOR READING OUT STORIES TO 4 YEAR OLD KIDS. LOT OF PICTURES PROVIDED IN THE BOOK.

Liked the page quality and many illustraions.My 4 month old likes to see colorful pages. Price on the higher side but i dont mind

Nice book to have in your kids book collection

The book itself was fine but I was disappointed that a large white sticker with barcode had been stuck on the back which wouldn't come off easily - this was a gift and I didn't want a great big ugly sticker with the price on it. The material of the cover is not shiny, it's more like fabric so it took me almost 30 minutes to pick the damn thing off trying not to mark the back cover!

I bought this as a Christening present for my 4 year old niece and she absolutely loves it; carrying it everywhere for several days. The illustrations are beautifully done and the book is nicely bound, all of which makes it a special keepsake item.
