Best Armguard I Have Ever Used
I had been searching long and wide for a good arm guard for both hunting with the compound and target shooting with my recurve bow. There are people out there that will say "if you have an arm guard then you have not perfected your shooting skills and form", but I look at it as a safety tool, and who likes getting surprise bruises on your forearm from one little slip in your shooting? The Tarantula Sleeve Wrap Armguard is not a product that I purchased, but rather an investment for my hunting career. Up here in Central New York the fall starts to chill as soon as early-middle October, prime bow-hunting season for whitetail deer. During this time, the least amount of clothing that I am wearing is a lightweight jacket. Sometimes the days are rainy, so rain-gear is a must. With rain-gear comes loose, thin fabric that both makes noise and can get easily tangled with the release of a bow string. This armguard not only reduces the possible noise, but keeps the fabric away from the center of the body. The adjust-ability that is product packs is also a plus, during the off-season (spring, summer) the armguard can snugly wrap around your bare skin, for both kids and adults alike. But what I really enjoy about this arm guard is the design of it. It differs from other armguards and wraps in that it has a wider grip for the elbow end of the arm and a smaller one towards the wrist, and the three snap-clasps have enough support to keep it from sliding up and down your arm. The holes on the side provide ventilation and breathing of the skin; while the materials that make up the guard itself are tough and durable, the exterior camouflage fabric is smooth, and does not cause skin irritation. It makes a great gift for both experienced and new archers alike, and I will be sure to purchase more of these for my siblings when they reach a reasonable age to shoot.

Best Arm guard we've found!
Bought these for my hubby, myself and my 12 year old son for Bow hunting & archery practice. These are hands down the BEST armguards we've ever tried.1) Lightweight2) Tough (made of some kind of material/fabric with some tougher stuff underneath)3) fits on bare arms OR over bulky clothing4) one size fits all! Easy pull straps to adjust & tighten or loosen. Fits me (I have a big arm) my hubby and my youngest 12 year old son who is quite skinny, so we can exchange and use these as we want5) no need to unbuckle to adjust, but you can if you want to6) CAMO mossy oak pattern7) breathable air holes, makes it lighter and cooler.OVERALL, we've had others made of leather, vinyl, etc.. this is hands down the best one we've ever tried. Do not hesitate to use it, we purchased two and thinking about one more. Protects are arms while shooting, even my husband who is wholly into bows and hunting said "you did good honey" when I got these for him and my son as a gift. ;-)NO CONS! Unless you'd want them in another pattern, that is the only cons I could even try to think of.9/9/2012: Update, just ordered a third one for my 25 year old son, as he bruised/scrapped his inner forearm a couple days ago shooting his bow. He sent me a photo of it, so he's getting this as a gift from mom ;-)

Good purchase, good product.
I am very happy that I purchased this item compared to what might have been with other armguard materials. This is the very best available and at a very reasonable price. I at first thought it would be too stiff just looking at the product picture but, as it turns out, this is just what is needed. It is stiff and slick and cannot buckle and make ridges to catch and snag the string so the bow string just slides down it and cannot snag and possibly begin to tear like it could with softer materials. I did not want to use it if I could keep the string from hitting my forearm, but after consistently creating some ugly bruising, I gave in and started using it. Curiously enough, as much as I try to note whether the string is hitting it, I cannot tell that the string is even hitting this armguard. It must be but I do not become aware of it at all. The adjustment elastic is good so I can just easily slip it on my sleeveless arm. Putting it on over a sleeved shirt or jacket would also be fairly easy with the straps more open to let the sleeve thru and then pull tighter as needed.

Great quality - Should last for years.
When I first got into archery I decided I didn't need an arm guard. After about 2 months of bruised forearms I decide I needed one after all. Unfortunately for me I went with a cheap one from Walmart. Actually, in the 2 years since then I have gone through several cheap ones from Walmart. Maybe 6 or 7. So I figured that I would spend a little more money on a better product and see how it fared in comparison.Answer: Awesome! This thing is a gauntlet. It is well made - the padding is just thick enough to protect your arm, but thin enough to not mess up your shot. The elastic straps give just enough to prevent you from using this thing as a tourniquet. That said, the quick release clips are a nice feature but kind of mess up the smooth lines of this thing. Just my opinion. My only complaint - and it is minor - is that there are no other colors available. Come on guys, does EVERYTHING have to be camouflage? I like camo as much as the next guy, but choices are a good thing.Bottom line. Good value for the money and has held up well (still looks like new) after 2 months of heavy use.

It fit and it stayed in place
my son purchased this to use with his new bow. the color was nice it matched his camo clothes which made him very happy. He had previously purchased one from a bow shop and the string got caught in it and he ended up with a nasty scrape. yesterday he used this one and he said the string never got caught, his arm did not sweat when it was on which meant there was no slipping of the armguard. the shape was perfect for using his bow and arrow and seeing how he has bought many of them he says this one is the best by far because there is no slipping, no sweating, there was enough Velcro to adjust it and it stay and it actually fit. he is 5' 8 inches and his arm are muscular.
