18 volt charger suits b&d tool batteries.
Charged 3 batteries on first day, haven't used them yet, charger and battery stayed cool and i didn't hear any cooling fan.[Bought this because the newish b&d charger totally died when i accidentally left it charging over a weekend!! and there is no reset or fuse that i can see .it appears non serviceable, very disappointing! ]. the new device has very scant instructions, but I believe on computer , that it cuts off when battery is charged. the 3 star rating is because i have not been able to try it over time yet.

Not for a Black and Decker A18 battery
Product looks OK and seems to function as described when I switched it on, but does not fit a Black and Decker A18, 18 volt battery (for hedge trimmers, grass strummer, etc).
