It writes so well, straight away. I opened it, filled the ink, and no troubles at all. Very smooth flow. The pen feels good to hold, it has the right weight as I prefer this amount of weight in a pen. In fact I was looking for a pen with some weight and glad found this. It has a classic timeless look, will last well. It is the best pen by far that I have. Happy with the decision.

This is my third Sheaffer pen, though first one through Amazon. This review is just an initial feedback as the pen has just been received today. Yet to try out. So the writing comfort review will follow.Bought this from Today's Deal seller. Very bad condition packing box and the inside is dirty with the plastic sleeve being the worse. Looks very old - possibly used (?).Sheaffer by itself, the pen is heavy so those of you who want a lighter daily use fit in the pocket - this is not it. However if you are looking for a smooth flow and writing with a class - this is for you.It is possibly 5 star for writing but deducted 2 star for the packing.

A little on the heavy side for regular use, this Sheaffer has great looks to go on with a Tuxedo. Writes as expected from a quality product.

It's a genuine product available on Amazon. The pen is sturdy and for people who write with a fountain pen, it will be a delight. The cap is heavy, but that's the design of the pen. All in all, it's a good piece and if you don't want to shell more money it will be a good purchase.

This is a good product. Worth the asking price. I've been using this particular model for the last 6 months. This was a replacement for the same model I used previously for 3 years(tells you I'm happy with it). Unfortunately that one suffered one too many falls and failed(my fault completely).However please do note that this is not a feather weight of a pen, it does have some heft to it.

Good heavy pen, with a shiny coating not the smoothest of pens but I do not expect more at this price. Cap posts perfectly. Nice gesture to include two cartridges along with a converter, not that I will use them still is good.
