If you have a toddler at home and are not yet acquainted with Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, you better hurry and do so,otherwise your child will be missing something really special. With highly imaginative,fantastic ,yet still relatable stories that will appeal to the child and the care giver at the same time,these books are definitely worth treasuring! In this one ,we meet a tiny ,grey,plain looking fish with a fertile imagination, who managed to win my nine year old's heart. The three year old is not yet sure which is his favourite. So, come story telling time,he brings out Gruffallo , Zog, Room on the Broom ,Stickman and Tiddler. And each has to be read aloud while he joins in the repetitive parts. And thats the fun with Julia Donaldson books.Written in simple prose,every time you read it to a child,there is something you can teach at the same time. This time,it was the variety of fishes in the ocean. Not being a native English speaker, many of the names were new to me. My older child went to the internet to learn more about ocean life after going through this toddler's tale.And therein lies the beauty of these books.

Very interesting story. Artwork is good too. Our kid loves when Ms Skate calls Tiddler and he doesn't answer every time. The book is large too...Which keeps the kid engaged in large drawings.

My 4 year old loves it. Every time we discover something new in the illustrations as well.
