Excellent lamp, gives a beautiful bright warm (but not too yellow) light that you can dim and set through five levels, has a tilting head so you can adjust the angle of light. Very easy to assemble, can be done in five minutes and looks stylish, sleek, modern, elegant. I've had several traditional uplighters previously, but this is much better and should be cheaper to run with LED, and no bulb replacements. Highly recommended.

The item is well built and stylish but has a MAJOR DESIGN FLAW for an uplighter - you can see a bright rim of light around the edge, wheres an uplighter by definition is meant to be about not intruding a direct source of light into your vision, but discretely reflecting light indirectly off surfaces in the room. So could be 5 star but only 2 as has a fundamental flaw for an uplighter that I am having to modify by sticking black insulation tape around the edge of the top.

Really brilliant light , very easy to assemble took minutes ... easy to operate you can adjust to whatever brightness suits you .... looks very smart in the black colour matches our other equipment in the lounge perfectly ... love this light it’s fabulous ...

I like the lamp, it's good value for money and was easy to assemble. However, built to its tallest height, as per the instructions, the switches are very high from the floor which make it impractical to turn on from your sofa or chair.The instructions make out that it has to have two poles put in after the first one but this is not the case as to make the switches accessible we have built it with the reading light lower down and put an extra pole in above the switches.This might not make sense without the lamp in front of you but it has meant it is now good for us and not a mistake.

I purchased this to replace a different light in my sons bedroom as that hadn’t worked properly for ages and was a mega wattage bulb that cost a lot to use. This is LED so is cheap to run and doesn’t buzz like a lot of the old bulb ones do. It’s also very bright but as it’s dimmable you have a choice. Absolutely brilliant and my son loves it as it looks very space age and cool!!

Brilliant design. Super easy to assemble and use. Just ordered a second one. The couriers will have a hard time damaging it because it's really well packaged.It's very well made but I've only had it about a month so didn't mark the durability stars, however I contacted Avantica and replacement Heads (containing the LEDs) are available. Base cold have been slightly wider for greater stability, but it's a small concern and doesn't dent the 5 star overall rating.

Very easy to assemble and I love the blue LED, so you can always see the on/off switch. The variable brightness is great. I saw another review that said it was too bright, but the brightness is actually a good thing when you need it - you can always dim it!
