This was the first light-up frisbee I ever purchased, and I would have to say that it is probably one of the best pieces of sports equipment that I have every owned. Here are some things I have noted about it.1. Feel: Over the last several years I have played ultimate frisbee quite a bit, so I am used to the feel of a "pro" frisbee. I have to say that the light up version is in every bit equal to any regulation 185 g frisbee. About the time I purchased this frisbee I also purchased a standard 185 g frisbee, and I would say that I would prefer to throw the lit version to the other version. It simply seems to fly better, and I also prefer the profile of this frisbee to the standard version.2. Illumination: I got the green version of this frisbee and have no complaints about the lighting. It is easy to turn on and off, and it is also very easy to replace the (long-lasting) battery. This frisbee is very easy to see and follow in the dark. Probably the hardest part of playing a game at night is knowing who you are throwing it to. I still haven't come up with a very good solution for this, although we have used the kids' glow sticks around the wrist with some success.3. Quality: Five stars. I have noticed that this frisbee seems to be just slightly more flexible than a standard frisbee, but I have not found this aspect to affect quality or durability at all. This frisbee has been thrown around a lot, and while it has the usual scrapes and dings on the edge, I would say that it has held up very well. The lighting system is also still in good shape for the amount we have used it. If there is no one else to throw with, I will occasionally throw the frisbee to myself (throw it at an angle high enough that it returns to me). I will do this often as hard as I can throw the frisbee, and when I miss it, it hits the ground full force. Despite this relatively brutal treatment, it has held up well and I expect it will continue to do so.All things considered, this thing is awesome! There is just something about seeing this thing float through the air at night that can't be had during the day. Highly recommended.

This is the best Frisbee I have ever used for playing ultimate Frisbee in the dark. I and my friends have owned several of these frisbees and they have always been great. It is appropriately heavy for ultimate frisbee in my opinion. The lights make it really easy to see at night. It works great in the daytime too. The one issue I have ever seen with this Frisbee is if it is thrown hard into a hard surface like a wall it can knock apart the battery compartment and cause the lights to get flaky and flickery. So don't throw it hard at walls. But it is sturdy enough for years of regular play and does fine with landing on the ground even on hard surfaces. Also the battery lasts a very long time although I am sure at some point you may need to replace it.

Impressed with this frisbee. Good stability when thrown and it is very durable. It's had its fair share of crashes into trees, concrete, etc. and has held up very well, and still lights up bright! I believe its weight is also comparable to that of pro frisbees. Very pleased with this purchase :)

I purchased this to replace one we had before. This was really used for our adult weimaranar who lives for retrieving items. We had a softer nite ize one before that was meant for dogs. I didn't realize there might be a difference. This one worked great and lit up fine for awhile until the dog lost the light up button. Oh, well, it wasn't meant for a dog of course. Now he still plays with the frisbee. It is great for just people to throw in the dark. Big dogs are just too hard on toys. I would recommend this item for people use of course.

I bought this frisbee to play at night on the beach while on vacation and it was so awesome! Very bright, nice weight to throw long distance and the battery lasted for the whole trip! This purchase was a big hit and everyone was impressed with how cool the neon green glow lit up the entire disc. Great quality and felt like a professional frisbee! We had no problem seeing it in the dark at all. The price is definitely worth every penny and provided hours of fun for all!

This frisbee is great. I Have thrown frisbee for the last 30 years and love it more than ever. I expected this to be more of a novelty. But it is one of the best frisbees for throwing and catching I’ve ever had. It’s also great for skipping as we play out on the street 90% of the time. It is very durable and hasn’t lost its touch. Plus, you can play at night. It lasted for almost 2 years before the light went out, but even without the lights, it is my favorite throwing frisbee. My son and I both agree it is our best frisbee. I just bought several more for the 2019 summer evenings. *****

This disc works great! I played a game of ultimate at night but with just a white disc and it was very hard to see, so of course I came to Amazon to look for one that lights up. What I like about this disc is: the green light is bright, it spreads across the entire disc, the solid color (rather than one that alternates colors) is much easier to keep track of while it's flying, and the weighting is still perfect with the lights and battery. The price was great and the the disc is AWESOME, I highly recommend getting this one.

Pros: Heavy, durable, flies very well. Super-bright. Pretty good battery life. I usually purchase a new one every Spring, very affordable at < $20Cons: The fiber-optic strands break over time, and significantly reduce the brightness.Awesome Frisbee at a very reasonable price. I've owned three over the past several years. These things can take a beating and still work great.I recommend the Green or Turquoise. Avoid Red it's much tougher to see at night.
