Great gift!
My son LOVES this item (he's turning 7). He's been opening one a day until his birthday (yes, we bought this as a birthday gift, not a Christmas one) and every morning it's the first thing he asks about. The instructions are on the inside of each of the doors, which is a bit difficult to see, but is more sustainable (less paper!). Parts are SUPER small, so definitely a choking hazard. My only wish is that it was not so holiday-themed (see note above about it being a birthday gift) so kids could enjoy it year-round. The items inside, to be clear, are NOT holiday themed...just the box/advent calendar setup. A great gift and worth the price, considering you get 24 individual lego items (small but mighty).

Great set. Not very Christmasy though
I don't normally do reviews, but feel like this one one is in order. I'm glad I ordered this on Cyber Monday and paid 24.00 total for the 2018 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar. My son is 5 and this is his first Advent Calendar. He loves it and is very excited to have it. It came in perfect condition and perforated doors open fairly easily without tearing. I as Mommy am disappointed that there are not more Christmas and Festive themed figures, but I knew that from the pictures in the listing. The Lego City was my first choice because of the obvious Christmas themed figures, but it was 50.00 and the Star Wars one was on sale and more in my budget for a pre-Christmas goodie. My son doesn't know the difference and was thrilled with it.

Close inspection revealed box had been tampered with and contents removed
I get LEGO Advent calendars yearly for my four grandsons. This year required me to purchase them in the spring rather than fall when I usually buy them. Yesterday I got them out to wrap and discovered one box had been tampered with. You had to look closely to see that the tape was moved and it had been opened. When I checked the contents, I discovered that 5 of the cells were empty. They had contained the STAR WARS mini figures. Someone had purchased, opened, and returned the calendar after removing the “special” feature figures. I am quite upset. I will ALWAYS check the box as soon as it arrives for coming years. My grandson will be very disappointed, as am I.

Perfect set
I've been ordering these for many years and this one does not disappoint. Some REALLY great mini-builds. Kicking off day one with the landspeeder was brilliance and ending week one with a Naboo starfighter (which is a GREAT replica of the larger sets) was just amazing. How could it get better? Did you say RATHTAR? SOOOOO cool. First Order Tie Fighter - AMAZING! Maybe my favorite, was possibly the AT-ACT - who knew you could build one so small?!?! But wait... where's Santa? Which is why I deducted a star...

Everyone loves Star Wars and legos!!!
I bought this advent calendar for my nephew who is nine years old. He loved it and waited each day to take a piece out. Then his sister who is five was upset that I didn't get her one either. I bought her something else for Christmas. Also, my 14 yr old nephew liked it so much he asked me to get him when too. I thought he would be to old for it but I guess you never are told for Star Wars and legos!!!! So I had to buy two more of the Star Wars advent calender lego sets.

Fun Advent Calendar
We had a lot of fun with this set. My child got a kick out or searching for the next day, and building each model. The bags were a little tricky to open for a younger child, so I had to assist. I also helped out a bit with the building, but took it as a great opportunity to spend time with my child and show them how to read and follow directions, even if I did most of the work. I would buy again, and recommend it to others.

Totally worth it
I get the quibbles, I guess. But sure happy I ignored them and purchased one for each of our boys. Would be nice to have a list of names and ships. Had to research descriptions, one still uncertain about. I know as a kid I would have loved receiving one of these mini Legos each day during Advent. I know our boys 5 and 3 are excited. Know I'm wondering what's in store for us the next year, and then 2020 why our youngest is old enough... Well played Lego.

Good items, a little unclear on instructions
I'm only on day 5 or 6. Several of the items were good and easy to put together with the instructions. Understandably, some did come with some extra pieces that didn't seem to fit anywhere. I only gave it four stars because some of them came with pieces that didn't seem like extra pieces and they weren't on the instructional diagram either. Nor could I find an image on the cover or anywhere on the box of where these parts went or what the item was supposed to look like when assembled.Still, some items were nice to have when opening and I look forward to opening the rest of them.

Great idea and good value
Gave to a friend's 10 yr old child in lieu of usual advent calendar. He LOVED it even though the characters aren't the most popular ones from the movie franchise - the inclusion of Chewbacca would've made it perfect. Each window, when opened, holds a small bag of parts that transforms into a kinderegg- sized toy. By the time it arrived, child opened several to catch up and watching him was priceless. Good value for a Lego product.

Great Countdown
Even though my son is 22 years old, he still loves to put Lego together, especially when the projects are on a bit smaller scale like in this Advent calendar. He built the pieces day by day and created a wonderful diorama as Christmas closer and closer. On some days, there was an argument with his sister (20yrs old), over who would put the pieces together. I guess you just never outgrow Lego. We had to buy a 2nd set for her. Treasuring these days as soon, they will both be on their own.
