Matt Leines: You are Forgiven

I love the simplicity of this book. The plates are beautifully printed on nice paper and uninterrupted by intellectual jargon. This is a children's book for the mature, but even kids could enjoy these awesome warriors battling mystic tigers on ebbing rivers. The only text in the book is a short introduction to Matt Leines, a short & unpretentious description of his work, and a list of the work's titles/ dimensions/ etc. Although the layout and design of the book is simple, the work has a subtle complexity, intricately patterned on multiple scales. I'm stoked to add this one to my library. The hardcover under the sleeve is yellow too!
