I ordered the boots in Black and they're definitely brown. Oddly enough the picture of them that pops up once they ship and in my order history is an accurate picture. However the picture that is used to sell them is incorrect.The boots themselves are great. In some other reviews I noticed other customers had complained that they look worn, that's not accidental. The boots are finished with some sort of wax and as you crinkle your boots during normal use it creates patterns of wear but the leather is not actually worn. It gives a little description of this on the tags when you receive them.Even though they weren't black as pictured they're excellent boots, very comfortable and great for work.

Right out of the box, they were extremely uncomfortable as far as width is concerned. My feet do tend to be a little bit wider than most but it was excruciating. I tried wearing them around for a couple hours and even switched insoles to see if that would help… Nothing happened. Finally just for fun Z‘s I took out the insoles after I had worn them for several hours and tried them on with Out any insoles. Way way way better. I decided to keep them after that. The pictures you see are after about four days of walking around without insoles and after a good shoe greasing. They are slowly stretching out and all in all pretty comfortable without the insoles. My hope is that eventually I’ll be able to put the insoles in to offer a little softer Step. They slip on pretty dang easy, they look freaking great, and thus far I’m pretty dang happy with them. Especially with the 30% off that I paid. They ended up being $75. Pretty happy but for the folks with wider and flatter feet be ready to go through Some growing pains as the leather stretches.

First things first: There is a massive layer of wax on these to make them look worn. It doesn't look bad, but I didn't realize they had that and didn't really care for it. After about an hour with some saddle soap and acetone, I had them stripped down to the bare leather. I then applied a generous slathering of Saphir dark brown cream to them and let them sit by the fireplace for a day. It thoroughly stained the shank and vamp. It didn't soak as well into the toe cap, but the result was a gorgeous dark bronze with reddish undertones (I call it "cola"). I've got a really unique and handsome pair of Doc Marten Chelseas now!It did take several days to break them in. I alternate my boots/shoes each day and tree them in between. After several non-consecutive days of wear, these are very comfortable. I supervise a die shop and am on my feet all day and can tell you these boots are great to wear all day.

I love these boots 🥾, the high quality craftsmanship. They are extremely confortable out of the box . In my case I am a Delivery 📦 person who walks and runs at least 23,000 steps lifting and carrying heavy 📦 packages. These boots again are very comfortable and the best thing they make me look and feel good.. they match my Uniform Perfect and people notice them 🥾 and it makes me feel prouder!!!!!

I was hesitant to post a review for these, as they were the most uncomfortable boots I've ever owned when I first put them on. I've forced myself to wear them every day for 3 weeks, and they still aren't very well broken in, and still nowhere near as comfortable as I expected from Doc Martens. They do look great though, and I've gotten a few compliments. Hopefully they'll become more bearable to wear before too much longer, or else I will have to give up on them.

This is the second Dr. Martens purchase. They fit perfectly. If you're a 1/2 size I would recommend that you round UP to the next integer size, not down. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I like the 90degree 1/2 inch heel.That’s a safety requirement for my work in the field. Easy to put them on and take them off.

Such a cool look!Authentic British made Dr. Marten’s never disappoint!Don’t buy the phillipines made Docs that are sold at those teen stores.
