Moroccan Cooking Tagine Handmade 100% Lead Free Safe Large 12 inches Across Traditional

So I received the Tagine and it is beautiful I tried to cook in it and it took longer than it should. 4 hours for chicken and veggies, veggies were still hard. Did everything I should have using a diffuser over medium low. Noticed the Tagine was kind of bowed like a bowl and not sitting flat on the surface therefore the lid was not sitting properly. Contacted the seller who told me it’s handmade they are not all the same. I decided to wait and try again unfortunately it was about a month later I tried and when it took about 5 hours for chicken I contacted them again. I missed the deadline to return. I wanted to just exchange the base. They again told me it’s handmade and actually meant for cooking the traditional way and not on a stove but would give me a refund. So I called for a refund and they then offered to send me a new base for $18 shipping. I just decided to settle for that and not worry about hassle of sending back. Low and behold I get the new base and it sits flat to the surface seals properly. All I had wanted to do from the beginning was exchange for a new one but instead ended up paying 70 for a Tagine and 18 for a new base. Not so happy about the experience.

I am thrilled with my purchase of the tangine! So far I have made three Moroccon inspired tangine recipes and they have come out delicious! Tangine arrived packed extremely well in a lot of foam wrap. This particular tangine is glazed, I went online and took care to season it before cooking in it (rub with olive oil, bake at 350 for 2 hours, let cool in oven). The top handle of the lid is solid which surprised me. There is a tiny steam vent hole in the side of the lid. Buy a heat diffuser to go with this for your stove! I have an electric glass top stove, have used a diffuser and no problems. It takes about 2 or 3 hours to fully cook a meal in this cookware but it is totally worth it. Meat is flavorful, juicy and falls apart, potatoes get a wonderful glaze from all the other food juices and broth. I also bought some rous el hanout seasoning for my tangine dishes, it is wonderful spice. Bought some za'atar seasoning too but yet to try that. I highly recommend this tangine! It will inspire delicious meals!!!

I purchased two sizes of this Tajine and love them both ... enough for two or enough for four people. Trained in Tajine cooking in Marrakech Morocco and love the wonderful results!! Highly recommend the seller and the amazing packing job they did!! Excellent experience!!!

I am finding this to be a wonderfully tasty and healthy way to eat. I’m learning a lotof new dishes to cook with herbs and spices. I love it. And the tagine is super easy to clean!

I really like the way my famine looks. I have taken all the steps to insure it is properly treated before use and I really hope it will not crack. The food tastes delicious when cooked this way!

Very well packaged, great condition, looks good. Only quibble: no documentation, no directions enclosed.
