I like it. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, the smell is ok, and it appears safer than a ton of other soaps I examined.
UPDATE 2 (2/17/16) - I use this as a hand soap most of the time with no problems, but the cold, dry weather made my hands a bit dry. I fixed that by mixing some of this soap with pure organic coconut oil (Carrington brand) ***(update - do not mix 50/50. It seems that having too much oil can cause too much soap residue to be left on your skin after rinsing, which can cause irritation. I'll update after testing smaller %s) the mix is 50% soap and 50% CO.*** It ends up looking a bit like Elmer's glue but it works fine, rinses off well, and keeps my hands from drying out (wet your hands to make it more slippery). I was pleasantly surprised that there was little or no change in the smell. CO has a long (opened/un-refrigerated) shelf life so I assume the mix should last awhile. Depending on your water hardness etc you may have to adjust the % of CO in the mix, test with small amounts of each.UPDATE 1 - It removed bacon grease and coconut oil from my hands with no problem. If you have a big mess then follow the directions "For heavily soiled items soak in hot soapy water." I've washed my hands with it A LOT and it's pretty gentle. I wish they'd sell it in a bigger bottle.ORIGINAL -I'll update in the future if necessary. I've been using it as a dish and hand soap just to see how I react to it. After many washings I can say that it's pretty gentle on my hands and doesn't make them irritated/red looking like some other brands. I can't fairly judge how drying it is because of my chlorine filled tap water, dry skin, etc but I'll say it only dried them a little (possibly because its job is to REMOVE oils etc from dishes). [I might experiment with mixing a bit of it with a bit of pure coconut oil for a hand soap to help replace the natural protective oils of the skin]. It suds enough and is slippery enough, a dime size can wash your hands really well. The smell hasn't bothered me yet, it doesn't stink like perfume or smell like chemical waste.Fun fact - to test how well it rinses off I washed a metal lid and a saucer, rinsed well, then I licked both of them :P. I didn't taste any soap. Like most soaps it leaves a little smell on hands but it goes away soon. This brand doesn't have these chemicals/preservatives but I advise avoiding any that do. Phenoxyethanol, Benzisothiazolinone, and Methylisothiazolinone. Also beware companies that have harmless looking ingredients (on EWG's skin deep database etc) because some may be new creations with limited or no data on safety.*Skip this part unless the 1st sentence reminds you of someone you know or yourself.Important info for anyone that seems to be 'allergic' to or bothered by (the smell) of any soap no matter what they try, no matter how natural, and how few ingredients (even simple bar soaps). I used to have bad intestinal candida (an overgrowth of the yeast that's normally in there and usually is kept in check by the good bacteria **until antibiotics etc cause an imbalance). Basically it can make your immune system overreact (just one of many bad things) and cause you to be very sensitive to perfumes, olive oil soap, etc, even the residue a plain bar soap leaves can give you a headache from the 'smell'. I've used the CandiGone brand and the Now brand of "anti candida" pills with success. No matter what you do it takes a LONG time to deal with it especially if you've had it for years without knowing.

No more itchy, dry hands
I had to switch from my old dish soap because I developed an allergy to the preservative used in most of them. I tried a couple of others but continued to get itchy hands and arms. After trying EcoMe, not only did the itching stop, but my hands have been free from dry and cracked fingertips for the first time this winter. I don't even have to wear gloves anymore.

"Gentle yet effective."
I'm on my fourth or fifth bottle of this! I love this soap. I hand wash all of my dishes and it gets them clean without leaving spots or residue (Dr. Bronner's castile soap left a greasy film, ick). I have sensitive skin and it never agitates it, so I'd call this soap gentle yet effective. It suds up nicely and cleans up a skillet covered in bacon grease that SOMEONE left sitting around for a day with just a few scrubs. Despite its effectiveness, it's not very useful in doing much else other than cleaning dishes and occasionally your hands if that's all you can reach for at the kitchen sink. When it dries it's like Elmer's glue. I've finally figured out that I need to push the top back down after I'm done with it or else the soap dries and blocks up the hole. I've tried using it in a few homemade products that call for "dish soap" and this made them thicken up until they were almost unusable. Still, I'll continue buying this product for its intended use.

including the 7th generation free and clear dish soap which was my old go-to (still a great soap, but has the forbidden compound
Got this after finding out my girlfriend is allergic to methylisothializone; an allergy that is difficult to pin down. The chemical is used in a variety of natural/green products as a preservative, including the 7th generation free and clear dish soap which was my old go-to (still a great soap, but has the forbidden compound). This soap is almost as good; still good cleaning power, but doesn't go as far as 7th generation. That said, this is what I will continue using as it meets the chemical needs. Thanks for making it!

Really is fragrance free!
No bad effects for my skin!! Less foamy than my other brands which is good because I also use it for hand washing. I must be particular about products I use due to skin problems. No worries here! Very satisfied! No industrial type smell either!

Love this!!!
I'm a window cleaner. We use dish soap and I've been suffering with Eczema since I started window cleaning. Ive used steroid cremes, took antihistamines, tried natural remedies, tried the elimination diet, had blood work, seen, nurses, Rn's, Doctors and Dermatologist. NOTHING helped. I tried this and my Eczema on my finger is sooooooooo much better. Thank you for creating an amazing safe product

no longer factory sealed
I previously liked this product very much and it always came sealed. The most recent order came without safety seals and I was unable to get any information one way or the other about the change in bottle from the seller vitamin answer, so I no longer feel safe using this product. Calling the manufacturer did not yield better results - several attempts, no answer, and a generic voicemail box for a company called "Kittredge", which is apparently a manufacturer of adhesive shelf liners. No way of knowing if this is a legitimate manufacturer with a protected chain of custody or not.

Best Eco Product - Cuts Grease
Of all the ecological products on the market this one seems to cut the grease the best. It is not Palmolive but we are trying to get away from some of the chemicals and we are adjusting. With Palmolive one dab on a sponge allows you to wash several dishes or pots without a reload. We use a little more on the Eco-Me but not that much more and it works fine. There is virtually no smell and sudsing occurs but not in the same volume as Palmolive.
