Stellar"Bresor" Stainless Steel Stove Top Whistling Kettle 2.0Ltr Suitable for AGA/Rayburn

We are either lucky or unlucky to have an Aga in our kitchen. This is one of the older models that runs continuously, is always on, heats our water and runs on gas. These days, Aga make more environmentally friendly ones that are electric and can be programmed via one’s ipad or mobile so that the heat, and hence the costs, are more suited to today’s budget and environmentally friendly world. This being said, if one comes in late and fancies a tray of hot sausage rolls or a hot bath, then, it’s available - instantly. Though my wife disputes such a thing it's also really good at drying just-washed clothes.It also makes toast and boils a kettle as quickly as an electric one. I was looking forward to clawing back some of the extra expenditure on gas by using the Aga kettle rather than the electric. Unfortunately, my wife decided that there was a funny taste coming from the Aga kettle especially when she had tea and much preferred to use the electric one. Each time the button was pressed the little wheel in the electricity meter (watching? Who me? ) spun like a satellite whizzing round the earth and I am sure our bills went to a similar height.I saw this wonderful little kettle on Amazon and thought that I would soon recoup its cost by a reduction in electricity bills. It’s a lovely thing to behold as it sits there with its sleek and shiny magnificence. Capacity is perfect and will boil water for several drinks in one go. Its smaller size also encourages one not to overfill it especially if there are just one or two drinks being made. More importantly, the inside is also sleek and shiny and, of course, I wasted no time in showing said interior to my wife who upon tasting a cup of tea made from freshly drawn and boiled water pronounced, as I held my breath, that it tasted as good as that from the electric kettle.Please note, it’s suitable not just for Agas and Rayburns but other heat sources too.The handle is hollow and in my experience never runs hot. There is also a whistle which is very vigorous and is probably loud enough to be heard by the neighbours. Please note this runs very hot and if one has the whistle in place then one can really only remove it when the kettle has boiled with a tea towel or oven glove. For this reason I tend to dispense with its use as the kettle boils so quickly that I usually just wait for it to boil rather than go out and prune a few roses. Although it does boil water quickly please note that the dedicated Aga kettle was even quicker. These are very heavy things with perfectly flat and thick bases which are optimised for Aga use and are also very expensive. This kettle is, however, quick enough and comes in at a lower price point as well as satisfying my wife’s taste test.All in all this has been a good investment, the electricity meter has gone back to its more sedate spinnings – I just have to get on with removing the fuse in the electric dryer now – shush don’t tell!

I love this all steel (no plastic) stove top kettle.It boils super quickly on my induction hob as the kettle has a wide flat baseThe handle doesnt get hot at all.The handle is hollow so the weight is kept down, which is useful as I have weak arms. But the kettle still feels solid and well made. Overall it strikes just the right balance.The lid comes on and off easily which is good as my grip isnt great, but you can top up through the spoutThe whistle works well and is very loud - its now my morning wake up alarmIt pours well too despite the wide spout. It'll be easy to clean too (our last kettle had a too spindley spout that clogged up too badly in our hard water area)The design is aesthetic, it looks good on our top.I'm also pleased I managed to buy one with no plastic in it, so hopefully a little more planet-friendly to boot.I only wish they did a slightly smaller sized version as we are only 2 and I tend to boil slightly too much water for 1 cup due to the base width.

I love this kettle. Design is beautiful, it's light, it's small so ideal for one person tho holds up to 2 litres. A lot cheaper to run than an electric kettle.Only disadvantages - the handle DOES get hot, but easy to use a cloth. It's slower too but not noticeably so. The price ... very expensive but the only one that filled all my criteria, so I decided to go ahead. Very glad I did.

I bought this kettle to replace an (Aga-bought) Kettle - for use on our Aga. By comparison to the one I replaced it is smaller (2L v 3L) - but way more satisfying. Our old Aga kettle was a big and bulbous object with a rather small spout and an undesirable tendency to "spit" before pouring. The Stellar kettle has a large spout which pours easily; it is also much better looking, with smooth clean lines and a handle (which doesn't get hot) which is a joy to pick up and use. Small negatives are that it seems to heat up more slowly than the Aga kettle and water comes out of the spout more easily, so overfilling is a potential problem. But unless you frequently need the bigger capacity, this is a purchase I strongly recommend for use either on an Aga (or the hob we also have in the kitchen) and it is a change I am pleased to have made

Beautifully balanced fills teapot for 5 cups of tea , handle did not get too hot. Whistle super efficient sometimes use cloth to remove whistle but also surprisingly it does not get too hot, users have to proceed with caution when new appliance to them as cookers/heat surface diameters all differ so the way the kettle conducts heat will too, some users may find they have to use a cloth to pick up kettle or take off whistle to pour. We use a flame that sits inside the base of the kettle so heat does stay inside and not seem to conduct to handle or whistle dangerously. Like the fact that can turn gas off when the whistle goes. So glad to have found this. All household pans are stainless steel, my preferred food and cooking medium so this kettle is perfect looking and has great functionality too.

Disappointing as the product arrived and was corroded near the joint of the handle. Had to immediately return it. Shame as had it been perfect, it was lovelyArrived on time but left 20 minutes later

This kettle is just what we were looking for. It really adds to our kitchen; it looks beautiful! We wanted a stainless steel kettle without plastic components that could be used on our solid fuel stove or on the electric one. It is very well made; the lid fits well, as does the whistle. It boils pretty quickly, and it is really comfortable to handle, even when it is full. We are very happy with it.

Perfect size, good quality of steel and stylish product. Hope more people will buy this kind of kettle to reduce plastic and landfill. The handle does get a hot when you boil big amount of the water, but it is really a small issue and can use the towel. Feeling great that I have contribute to the mother earth every time I use it.

Super schön und elegant hält was er verspricht Flöte laut wie es sein soll. Beim abnehmen der Flöte aber bitte Topflappen benutzen sonst Verbrennung vom Dampf was aber bei dieser Art von Flötenkessel völlig normal ist. Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen und die Lieferung schnell und super
