Okk....So the book is good enough with no doubt if you are looking for some unique international salad recipes... Maximum recipes are followed by Japanese and Italian salad, didn't understand where is the Indian sense here except the veggies ! Sooo many ingredients you need to make them... Difficult to make for easy to go kind of as the dressing ingredients are really hard to get in some places ,if you are looking for some quirky salad recipes for ur restro, you can definitely go for it !

A good attempt at introducing indian ingredients to salads!
It is said that one goes through three phases - 'heights of expectation', 'valley of despair' and finally the 'plain of reasoning' - when it comes to highly anticipated things - be it technology, gadgets etc. My experience with this book has been somewhat similar. When I placed the order, I was expecting that this book will let me make salads with every day Indian ingredients. I was expecting some magic by which the mundane stuff that we buy from the local vegetable vendor can be turned into exotic salads. But when I received the book and I started browsing through the recipes, I was feeling depressed seeing that most of the items required one or two ingredients that were alien to me. It did not appear to me that I could start making all those salads, right away. But after a few days of trying out different things, with whatever ingredients I could find, I have finally reached the 'plain of reasoning'. I do now appreciate the book for many things :- The author has sincerely attempted to fuse Indian ingredients into unique recipes that are really interesting.- This book does inspire you to 'eat raw and eat more' as the title claims.- It's OK if you do not have some of those exotic ingredients - just experiment with what you have, use the recipes as an outline and try variations - I wasn't disappointed.- It was about time that someone introduced Indian vegetables and spices to salads - Indian cuisine does lack variety when it comes to Salads.Overall - I do not regret the decision to buy this book. It did nudge me to make salads with local items, and it gave me more courage to experiment with unusual ingredients, and finally, we did increase the quantity of raw food that we consume on an average day.I would love it if a 'volume 2' comes out with more of such recipes! :-)

If you are a raw vegan like me and assume the book has vegetarian and vegan ...
If you are looking for exotic salads, this is the book. If you are a raw vegan like me and assume the book has vegetarian and vegan recipes then you are highly mistaken. A great attempt but does not serve the purpose I bought it for.

Salad mention in the book are recipes which you can be found in regular salad book or YouTube. There no proper information mention about Indian veggies that can used to make perfect salad with locally available items
