Lamp of Eternal Lights: The Biography of Saint Charbel Makhlouf (1828-1898)

I just finished this beautiful biography about the life of St. Charbel Makhlouf. Although the book is not very long, I found it to be an excellent telling of the life of this great Lebanese Saint. Lamp of Eternal Lights transported me to the hills and villages where St. Charbel lived and died and I found myself imbued with his peace and spirit as I read his life. Wonderful history of the Maronite order and beautiful prayers and Scripture included. My only disappointment was that there were no photographs of these places, but the book is excellent!

A good beginner book to learn about St. Charbel. Easy to understand and informative without being overwhelmed with too many details.

There are few books about this saint that I have found- this book fills that void. St Charbel is fascinating, all Christians should know him.
