Not a real wooby
It reminds me of cuddling in a tarp

I love this liner!
I have used it as a blanket, a liner and a cargo cover. It works well to cover my utility trailer when I have boxes loaded so that the lids wont blow off after I tie it to the rails. Couldn't live without it.

The outside isn’t nylon. It’s polyester and not silky. :/
Former army infantryman. I was really excited to get a soft woobie. This made in China knock off woobie showed up. It’s heavier than a woobie and the outside material is made out of polyester not nylon. Only the inside should be polyester, the outside should feel smooth like a parachute (nylon). To me, using this knock off is like cuddling with a somewhat softer tarp. Not a fan. It’s not smooth and awesome like the ones I used in the army. Going to return this and choose a vendor that sells authentic poncho liners and not this. I will say that some people might like this blanket, especially if they never felt the smooth, gentle, loving embrace, stronger than a parent’s love, that a real woobie provides. If you were in the Army or Marines, you’ll know exactly what I mean. And if you were in the Air Force, think of 1,000 thread count silk sheets at your Hilton hotel during deployment -that’s what a real woobie should feel like. Hope you guys/gals find yourself a good Woobie. :-)Update August 2020:I’m bumping this woobie up to 3 stars (from 2). It’s probably a 3-4 star blanket, but I’m not sure I’d call it a woobie given its material. I ended up not returning it, and have used it camping. It works well for putting under your sleeping bag or if you use an air mattress/pad, it can keep branches from being blunt/puncturing. Also, you lose more heat from the ground beneath you, so if you use this under you while you sleep, I think it being polyester material actually works out well here. Not a bad blanket, just not like the woobie you would remember from the military that was nylon with a poly interior (since this one is poly inside and out).

Worth the money!
This poncho liner is great. In response to what other reviews claim about it. I also believe it is a different type of material from military issue, but I believe those saying it's not as soft as as those haven't ever bought a new woobie, and are trying to compare it to the well broken in one they were given. I have 2 other woobies. One that is 6 years old and one that is 3. Both were comparable to this one when new. I have washed this one a few times and I can tell it will eventually soften up to that silky feel that we all love in a woobie. The construction is high quality aside from a few loose stitches, but nothing that concerns me to much. The ties on the edges are much thicker than standard issue, and feel like they may fray faster over time, but unless you actually plan to secure this to a poncho then I don't think that will be a problem.

Great Value
Purchase this poncho liner on sale for $23. You can't beat it for value. While the shell is not nylon, it is very comfortable. Warm and comforting as you would expect. As other reviewers have mentioned, the stitching is not the best. Had to run some new stitching on the sewing machine in a couple of spots. But for the price that's not too bad.

AWESOME WOOBIE!!!
So I'm a big military collector and one of my buddies recommended this to me because he got one, I am no where near disappointed.PROS: 1, very warm, it's actually quite thin but somehow keeps me very warm2, Very big, I'm around 5'9 and this still has room, I'd say itll go to someone maybe 6'2 but I'm not sure,3, lightweight, it's very light and soft, it can compress down in a backpack very nicely and it's not a hassle to grab or anything4, realism, this is almost identical to a real military Woobie but taking a look at the label reveals it is notCONS: none that I can think of.Overall I really love this Woobie and I will probably end up buying another one if not 2 just because of how cool these are

Great For Summer Backpacking
I bought this for two reasons, primarily for a summer backpacking sleeping option instead of a sleeping bag because it's too hot for a bag,but also for something to put over me while watching TV in my over-airconditioned house. The material is not quite what I had in mind as it's sort of like what the lining of an outdoor jacket is made of. That said, it makes it even better for backpacking because it's got some resistance to getting wet (not waterproof by any mans, but water beads up on it and wipes right off unless it's getting soaked). It's under two pounds and packs nicely into my 55 liter backpack. It's perfect for when the temp. on summer nights drops down into the 50s or 60s.

So so blanket... Not a woobie
Definitely not woobie material which is a huge shame! That was the best part of the woobie! However, I do like the size of it and it is relatively warm. Though I would contend a woobie is warmer! Also, the photo I added makes it seem like there is a hole for your head to wear as a poncho... There in fact is no head hole... I was sad. Mostly sad I looked lol.Reasonable poncho blanket. Definitely not a woobie... If that's what you want, keep looking
