This Gateway Italian Diction book is an excellent resource. Highly detailed, technical information regarding Italian diction that I wasn’t expecting. I’m very pleased, and of course, it uses the ISO standard for phonetics, the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet.

I bought this book to help me improve my Italian pronunciation not for singing but for everyday conversation. The book makes the technical aspects of Italian phonetics accessible and easy to understand. I highly recommend it.

A great book - mostly because of the supplements (the CD - one of the few for Italian diction - and teacher's kit) and much practical advice!
