Great for nuts and sticky dried fruits
I had always read that you should use a serrated knife for nuts, but none of my existing ones did a good job. This one is amazing! Does a great job with nuts and even sticky dates. Worked great for Christmas cookies, which tend to require so much chopping. The offset handle makes it so easy to work with. Wish I bought this years ago. If you are on the fence, go for it!

The kitchen secret that shouldn't be.
This is the knife that most home cooks don't know they need. Easier to handle than a chefs knife and needs less maintenance

Great knife. 9 inch blade.
Very comfortable full tang knife. Somewhere it said that this was an 8 inch blade but it is a 9 inch blade as you can see from the picture and packaging. The scallops are on the left side. For the similar price as a commercial blade it has a nice looking handle similar to a forged version.

Best bread/sandwich knife!a
I love this knife! I have a set from Wustof but don't the design of their bread/sandwich knife. The offset handle is perfect for curing any bread as is a length. I love this knife so much i ordered another for my father. Even though it's just stamped steal it stays very sharp and doesn't need honing often.

In a professional kitchen this would be a LEFT-HANDED knife
Please don't listen to those people who say this is a right-handed knife....it is NOT, it is DEFINITELY a left-handed one. As the bevel is on the left side, the knife will leave a smooth edge on the right side of the food that is cut. This used to be called a soft-meat slicer in my day but was replaced by professional quality rotary slicers like the Hobart. It will cut just fine left or right handed but the 'cut' slice, will fall more cleanly to the left, not the right. The only modern knives with this 'bias' are Japanese Santoku knives and even they have changed in recent years.Lovely strong knife that, I am sure, will last for many years, and an EXCELLENT price.German steel ( it claims ) and nicely thick for this type of knife. If I had a pro kitchen I'd have several of these. Lovely knife.
