Nice little radio, good sound, multiple power options, what more could you ask for?
UPDATE!Was listening in my garage yesterday and the sound just cut out…battery is charged and Bluetooth still appears functional but none of the radio stations work anymore..totally bummed out..UPDATE! The Bluetooth functionality works very nicely, it allows me to watch movies in my iPad and I port the sound to the radio via Bluetooth, very cool feature! Also - Although there is no feature that identifies when the battery is fully charged I just plug it in for 4 hours to charge it. I charged it for 4 hours and then unplugged the charger, so far the radio has played for almost 3 hours on that Little rechargeable cell phone battery it came with, Very impressed as the directions suggested it would only Play for an hour off the battery - very impressive little unit and I sure hope it lasts!I just wanted a small, portable, battery powered radio and I didn’t want to spend over $20.I must say I’m very impressed with this little unit.It looks sharp and contemporary and has really good sound for how small it is.Comes with rechargeable battery, USB power cord and typical Chinese instructions. You can run off the supplied rechargeable battery or use three AA batteries, that’s a nice option.Have not tried the shortwave channels and honestly wasn’t interested in that feature at all, just happened tocome with the radio so that’s a bonus as well. All in all I consider this a very good value for the money.Like many of you I rely highly on Amazon Reviews when making my selection so now I sayit’s five out of five stars and will update the review if I encounter any issues.

Great radio/speaker, would recommend
I really like this little radio. For $15, I'm very happy.Even without batteries, it has a good bit of weight. Enough that it doesn't feel like cheap junk. When you crank the volume, the 2 inch speaker can get surprisingly loud. I'd say the speaker accounts for a lot of the unit's weight, just look the picture I included. The USB and SD playback are only okay, as it just plays files sequentially, but most people will probably use the Bluetooth, which has good range. The radio works alright, but I decided to put a bigger antenna on, which required a soldering iron.It has the option for USB power, but it's a Mini USB port, which is the only real problem I have with this radio. I like to just use rechargeable batteries, so I can swap them whenever. I don't know if the radio can charge AA batteries, but I doubt it. Better to use a dedicated battery charger anyway.I bought this because I wanted something better than my laptop speakers, and but I think it will get used a lot more than that.

Fantastic value, simple to use.
Great little radio! It's quite compact, but has surprisingly decent sound quality. I bought this to use while camping (Bluetooth and FM) and for the FM broadcast at my local drive-in movie theater. With the external antenna, it seems to do okay picking up weaker signals. I only use the FM function, so can't comment on the shortwave or AM reception.I especially like the simplicity. With basic dials for volume and tuning, there are no complicated digital menus to navigate just to search for a station. The rechargeable battery is easily replaceable down the road, and uses a common cell phone battery. There are only two minor drawbacks that kept me from giving 5 stars:1) The recharge port uses a mini USB connector. None of my other gizmos use this, so this is one more cord (included) to carry. Not a huge deal, but I wish it has a micro USB port like my tablet and other devices.2) I wish the radio had an indicator to show when recharging is complete. There's a light to show when recharging is in progress, but not when complete. Those are minor drawbacks, to be sure. This radio is a great value.

Surprising!
I'll be honest, I didn't expect much from this radio. I mean, it's $16 and it's a multiband radio with full AM/FM/SW coverage, so it has to be trash, right? Wrong! This little radio really picks up the signals at night, with station after station showing up on the AM band as you S-L-O-W-L-Y turn the dial. You barely turn the dial at all and you might have actually skipped a station, because it's all crammed together so tight. But, with some patience, I was able to pull in stations from Ft. Worth and Nashville (I'm in Missouri) with no problem. SW works fine, but shortwave is not as good as it used to be, thanks to the internet. It's mostly just religious stations or WWV out of Ft. Collins, but they all come in great. However, the elephant in the room is FM reception, as well as dial accuracy on FM. Some of my local stations show up on the dial thusly: 92.9 comes in around 98 on the dial, and 97.9 is around 101. As you get to the end of the dial, it begins to become more accurate, and 106.7 is right around 107. Also, FM reception is weak. There are dozens of FM stations I can hear on my old GE Superadio, but only the 100KW blasters make it onto this radio. If you want excellent AM and SW reception, get this radio. FM is a disappointment.

Buy it for the radio, not for sound quality.
This little radio is great, but does not sound great. I did not buy it for the sound quality, I bought it for emergency and camping use.The included rechargeable battery lasted over 4 days using just the radio at a low volume, if those run out you can remove the rechargeable battery and use 4 AA which is super handy.Tuning works as expected but because it's not digital there is no station lock, so you need to adjust every so often. Short wave stations work fine, so this would be useful in an emergency. Build quality is solid plastic, but I am not sure it would survive a fall of more than a meter.Volume is not loud, but reasonable.

Super Supersonic
After seeing the reviews in Amazon only I bought this radio. Performance wise it is quite amazing. FM reception is very good. One weak station which I had not received in other radios is quite audible in this radio. MW station reception is normal. Local radio reception is ok. However, long distance station are gained during night when tuned outside. Shortwave many stations can be heard during evening and night. During morning 19 metre band is active. Sound of this radio is phenominal. Drawback is there is no audio slot for personal hearing. For the cost we spend, this radio is worthwhile.

Cheap and multifunction, but...
The AM and FM works really good. The radio is really small, so about the SW It's able to find a lot of SW stations, but sometimes they overlap. In SW it's difficult to have a very high sound quality, while connectine a device via bluetooth the sound quality is very good. Unfortunately after 3 months the bluetooth function stopped working.Important: there is no entrance for headphones!!
