I bought this hoping that I could easily switch between my home desktop and work laptop at the start and end of each day without moving lots of cables around. I liked the look of the Aten because unlike many of its competitors the Aten allows separate switching of each channel independently - video, USB3 and audio. Unfortunately it wasn't that easy as the device was plagued with multiple issues.- Switching between monitors intermittently fails, sometimes fixable by switching the monitor off and on again, sometimes by switching back, and sometimes by rebooting the switch.- Monitors randomly lose video for a couple of seconds even when not in the process of switching.- After being switched on for a while the mouse sometimes goes choppy, moving for a second then freezing for a second. This continues to get worse until the switch is switched off and on again.- Backlit keyboards cause the 3.5mm output port to emit a whining sound - very distracting.I sent this one back and got three separate devices; one KVM just for video, keyboard and mouse, one audio switch and one USB3 switch. I now have to press three buttons instead of one to switch entirely, but I'm fine with that since it works flawlessly and cost less than half of this Aten.
