Gets the Job Done
Like many, I would rather spend my time shooting rounds down range at targets that are not used for zeroing. This simple product allows for less time shooting at boring paper and more time shooting at whatever you can legally shoot, of course. However, this item is not perfect and has some downsides that some might not like.Negatives:- According to the manufacture, the "on/off" option consists of using a small piece of metal to unscrew the back of the fake bullet to prevent the batteries from making contact with the laser and therefore, keeping it off. This is not the case at all. I either have to remove the batteries to turn it off or remove the batteries to turn it off. The back piece that you unscrew is too long to prevent it pushing the batteries into the contact point at the laser.- The laser is extremely delicate or it was on my first one. Yup, I had purchased one before and noticed the laser inside was jammed up inside with the o-ring. Not sure how this happened but upon getting a new one, I looked inside and noticed that the laser was only slightly connected inside. Just be delicate and I am sure it will be fine but who is delicate on the range 100% of the time?Positive:- The product comes with a pouch that makes it easy to simply throw it into my shooting bag and go.- The instructions on zeroing are easy to follow. If you are okay with my negatives then you will enjoy the accuracy of the laser. So if you are okay with the negatives then you might agree with the 4 stars. I have personally had no issues with battery life but do dislike having to take them out to shut the laser off. I would consider this to be false advertising as they say you can turn it off with the piece of metal they provide. However, the item does what it needs to do despite the annoying aspects.

Gets dim very fast
Laser dims in a few seconds. New batteries don’t help. Not useful as is.

Works very well and comes with a well thought out design/case
The product works very well for what it was designed for, which is to get on paper at 25 to 50 yards! If you expect to use this to replace traditional zeroing by actually shooting, you will be sorely disappointed with any laser boresight or you purchase. The product was designed well and comes with some of the best thought out packaging I’ve seen on any bore cider. Has a compartment for batteries which should always be stored outside of the unit.

Used one four rifles with outstanding results
It was harder to get out of the package than to set up and use. I sighted in 4 rifles in my basement (probably 12 yards across). All four were almost dead on at 100 yards when I shot today. Great buy!

I was easily able to sight out to 100m in the sun
This one actually works compared to some of the cheaper models I bought. Also, the batteries last more than about a minute on the others. I was easily able to sight out to 100m in the sun. I highly recommend getting this one over the cheaper ones available. Don't be tempted to save a couple bucks when the one you think you're saving money on is really junk and you'll easily spend the money you thought you saved on batteries.

Doesn't even deserve a 1 star.
First issue, the most important issue, is that the laser is is not accurately calibrated/centered within the unit. I followed the instructions to the letter but could not get my front and rear sites to line up on the red dot, even with my rear site windage set all the way to the left. So, I took my gun to the range, set my front and rear sights to mechanical zero, and after 3 rounds (about $1.80) using .223 ammo I was shooting 1.5" groups off sandbags and my gun was sighted in for 300 yards. I did this by following simple instructions found on youtube. The instructions I used are the ones the US Army has been using for years and they are simple and effective. Go to YouTube and search for "How to Zero your AR15 / M4 / M16A2 Platform: Mechanical Zero & the 25m Target" (without the quotes). There you'll find an instructional video by Safe Arms Review.2nd issue: the batteries die 5 minutes after struggling to figure out why your sights aren't lining up with the laser.THIS PRODUCT IS JUNK!!!

meh - not great
It's ok, but not worth the money. Eats batteries like M&Ms. Basically - I zeroed the rifle the old way and my cats have a new toy to play with. Also the cartridge constantly got stuck in the chamber. I had to use my cleaning rod to pop it back out. I might cut it apart so I can hook up a real battery and grind it down so it doesnt stick.
