These fantastic knives are comparable to any western style knife at a remarkable price. The quality of steel is on par or beyond any commercial knife. Forge To Table knives take between 6 and 10 hours to produce. Each is slightly unique but all are inspected for the highest quality standards. The 5 layer VG 10 High Fiber Stainless steel is more resilient than carbon steel, yet sharpens with ease compared to a full stainless knife allowing a finer edge. The "kurache", or blacksmith finish, is not only there to give the knife the great visual, it also acts to aid food release. The knife has a light weight handle, Octagonal shape to fit to any hand size. The balance at the hilt of the blade is perfect for the "pinch grip" and give you much more control and precision. The care for this knife is more simple than most Japanese knives but with all the benefit of high quality steel. Wash well before first use as these come directly from the hot coals of the forge! Not what I had hoped for
By looking at it it, it's a beautiful knife. But once I held it there was just something off about it. The handle was beautifully made, but the blade was what got me... I decided to give it a chance tho, used it in a commercial kitchen for all kinds of tasks. Cutting small vegetables and proteins was as expected. But sharpness wasn't retained as long as I had hoped it would. Only three days into using it and it was dull enough that I had to put it through the whetstone. And tip bent awkwardly on the first day I brought it into the kitchen. Wasn't at all sad about it but i wouldn't beleive hardness level on the description. Overall i would spend 80 bucks on another knife. Wouldn't reccomend this knife at all.

This is a fantastic knife for the money... works like a much more expensive knife.
A GREAT knife. I tend to use it more than my chef's knives now. Very sharp out of the box and beautiful.

Cheap
I saw several YouTube videos recommending this knife. I guess they’re blind. I have knives that are twice as sharp for half the price. Probably won’t recommend it for this price.

BEST knife EVER
I love these knives! I heard about them from a friend and got one for myself. Since then, I've bought 3 more as gifts and all the recipients have loved them too. Not only is the knife visually beautiful, but it's sharp and sturdy as hell. Very lightweight and easy to cook with. I also love that supporting this brand means I am supporting an entrepreneur and the craftsmen who hand-make the knives. I can't wait to get more sizes for myself!

Good as a butter knife. Nothing more.
Dulls quickly. When I first used it I accidentally sliced down to me knuckle on my left indeed finger so I was impressed. After a few uses it can't even cut butter. Waste of money
