Acer - C738T-C44Z Chromebook Touchscreen - 360 Hinge - 4GB RAM 11.6 Laptop in-Plane Switching (IPS) Technology (Renewed)

The Chromebook is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Touchscreen works perfectly. I love the device itself. The included charger was already broken, but it worked if I twisted it a certain way. I was a bit frustrated with that, but I didn't mind as long as it worked. It stopped working less than a month later. Now it won't charge my Chromebook at all, no matter how I position it. It's been a week since it stopped working, so I've given up hope on making it work. A replacement is about $10, which isn't too much, but I would have preferred it to have worked at least a little longer. I still won't be able to use my Chromebook until I can get a new charger. I had no problem with the Chromebook itself, and I would have definitely given five stars if it weren't for the broken charger.

Buy a refurbished electronic is similar buying a lottery ticket. The odds are that you'll lose. This is my second purchased of a refurbished Chromebook within two days on Amazon. First was a HP Chromebook w/touch screen. That I sent back. Then just purchased this Acer. Opening both HP and Acer the appearance of the Chromebook looked great being used. Had difficulty with both Chromebooks had issues with the touch screen in some areas when using the touch screen. Download Prime movies on both and watching the movies were awesome. Some Google game apps were so so. Ironically both Chromebooks wasn't allowed to download Amazon shopping, my banking apps ,Walgreens and other apps. Then discovered on the Acer the manufacturers date of February 17, 2017. 8 months 5 years old Acer. Chromebooks of this age unable getting Chromebook updated. Sending this back as well. It's unfortunate that when advertising for refurbished electronics. The consumer should be informed of the manufacturing date of said refurbished electronic the consumer is interested in possibly purchasing. If had known these refurbished Chromebooks were 5 years old. I would had never wasted my time. Had anticipated that I was getting a refurbished one that was 2 years old not 5 years old.Update 11/06/22: Acer will not allow me to access Google photo to choose from My gallery for a wallpaper nor share photos on Facebook. Remember that is Acer is the manufacturer. But Ace Electronic is the seller and Acer Manufacturer can not assist you with technical issues

Great for my 12 year old daughter. She loves it.

We have had several chrome books for our kids. Samsung, HP and now this Acer. This one was the most inexpensive and is the most loved by our kids.The number one reason why? The touchscreen.The fact that they can use it like an ipad at times when they are in the classroom is a plus. They also love that when they have indoor recess on a rainy day, that they can play simple computer or app games much easier.It’s a great size and weight for a younger student and the 360 hinge is awesome. My kids are clueless when it comes to being easy with electronics so the 360 hinge is really helpful and ensures they are not being too rough with their chrome book. I would highly recommend this for any family.

And they don't make them anymore, what a shame!Use as a tablet or Chromebook. It's more than fast enough for most purposes. Games from the playstore all work perfect. Touch screen is accurate and confident. Keyboard is great. Battery life is great. Screen looks great. Bluetooth works great. Sound is ok. Trackpad works great. What's there to complain about!Occasionally a product comes along that's done just right. Why oh why have they stopped making these?If you find a refurbished on: do it, jump on it! You will not regret it.

The computer turned out to be as good as or better than what I had expected. The only disappointment was that there was no manual or URL pointer to an online source. Otherwise a perfect machine.

A great little computer other than that the microphone barely works (doesn't pick up sounds). And since I bought it for video calls in particular, it's useless to me. I did some research and apparently this is a common problem with refurbished Acer Chromebook R11s. I guess something in the refurbishing process damages the microphone. Too bad - this seems to be a nice device otherwise.

I bought it last December as a Xmas gift for my son. The battery can not be charged at all after 6 months, so my son can not even power it on. Completely waste of money. Stay away from it folks!!!

Totally dead after 7 months... Past any warranty. Avoid this seller
