PgMP® Exam Test Preparation: Test Questions, Practice Tests, and Simulated Exams (Best Practices in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management)

So here's what I'll say. This practice material is HARD. It's not bad but it doesn't represent the test as of the time I write this based on my experience and I passed on my 1st and only attempt. This book is good and I'm willing to wager if you can answer most the practice questions correctly, you know you are ready and you will pass.However, this is a challenge and even the reference notes that refer to where the question came from is not all that helpful in some cases.I do recommend this to study the harder end of the scale because other practice resources were too easy compared to the test but it's only 4 stars because not perfect either.

I believe at one point- I heard this was a popular review book for PgMP- as of Jan 2024-this was NOT at all helpful and so difficult that it may in fact shake your confidence (I bought the book and the best decision I made was deciding not to continue using it). The practice questions were WAY too difficult and convoluted and not representative of the test - the test was actually “easier” and for the most part -more straightforward. I passed using a different book and simply reviewing, understanding and basically knowing the Standard for Prog Mgmt (by PMI) in great detail.

I passed pgmp 1 week ago. I used 2 materials. This book was not the right book for me. Test questions are very tough and not helpful to develop the logical thinking. I think test questions are not similar to the real test. Real test is more simple and not complicated.

The structure of the questions in this book really force you to pick apart the standards in real life scenarios. I found this book and the materials most helpful in conjunction with an online course as well. The explanations of the answers on the sample questions are the most valuable part as they break down the explanation on why the answer is the correct one and then where to find the actual standard in the Standard for program management fourth edition for reference. I would recommend to anyone preparing for PgMP. This truly helped me pass the exam.

The website with the online exams seem to be down. This was a major reason I purchased the book

I do not recommend it. Several questions for me are not well formulated or confusing. It dis not help much. Other books I used were better

These exam questions are ridiculously difficult. Are they simply to prompt you to read the standard? Because I've already read that. I returned because not even worth my time to review. Other questions/ better question banks out there. Don't waste your money - join a class, get online exams.

Ich habe im Dezember 2020 meine Pgmp Prüfung absolviert und bestanden und unter anderem dieses Buch zur Vorbereitung benutzt, da es eines der wenigen Bücher ist die der aktuellen 4. Version des Standards entsprechen.3 Sterne gebe ich da die Fragen nicht nur extrem schwierig sind, sondern auch nicht den Fragen im Examen entsprechen. Das kann erstmal sehr demotivierend sein wenn man unter 50% der Fragen richtig beantwortet. Ich gebe dennoch 3 Sterne da ich es als gute Vorbereitung empfunden habe die Fragen zu machen und die Antworten und Erklärungen zu lesen. Als Zusatz zum Standard empfehlenswert aber wie gesagt entsprechen die Fragen nicht denen aus der Prüfung

The book in itself is probably one among the very few genuine preparation opportunities out there. As it is it doesn’t reflect the actual exam in difficulty level but certainly helps reinforce the depth on SPM , which helps you in the exam.

Two full text exams of 170 questions each with a corresponding section of answers. A comprehensive introduction with the added possibility of doing the test online under "exam" conditions. A pretty decent evaluation of the results too.The downside is the spelling and grammar in the questions. This sometimes leads to ambiguity and hence incorrect answers. I would like to see this improved.A potential improvement would be a reference to the chapter in the PgM handbook, as it is not always clear which domain is being referred to.I find the spiral binding very useful as I was constantly flicking back and forth.

I have tried to contact the email address on the book to get the software exams which is part of this book and should be provided, however I couldn't as the email address is no longer existing or working. It is really frustrating and that wasted of my time and my money!
