Better than buying from an actual butcher shop
I'm a 'late-bloomer' when it comes to ordering groceries online, but it's so convenient to have a couple of recipes online and then order all the ingredients right then. No stopping at more than one grocery store to get the fresh Rosemary or the garlic powder, etc. So I needed a flank steak, and I was prepared to make a trip to the store to get it. Then I added it to my "recipe order" and I'm sure glad I did. This steak was tender and flavorful - certainly the quality you'd find at the better supermarkets - even a dedicated butcher shop.

Cook it hot and fast! I highly recommend the video "How to Cook Steak on Coals" by Alton Brown on youtube. This is the BEST method for a fast and easy steak. Oh gawd do I love the beefy flavor in the flank, it just might have surpassed a rib-eye steak as my favorite. Normal grilling is fine too, but don't cook it to grey throughout or it will be too tough to chew. Apply massive heat fast and crispy up the outside. My alternate method is sous vide and searzall or literally blow torch the outside crispy.

Good quality
I really liked and enjoyed this flank steak. I was a little nervous about ordering meat, but it was surprisingly soft to eat. Very little fat, and so tender.

I was surprised to find out that it was sourced from a good meat purveyor. Totally worth the cost. In my opinion.

Value for the money.
This was not worth the value. The piece we received could barely feed one person and we practice portion control. This is an item I would only buy in a pinch because my husband said the flavoring was delicious and it was fresh.

Good flanks
Great flank steak cooked in my usual method - marinaded then smoked over indirect heat on the grill and finished over high heat to sear each side. Absolutely delicious. Not a lot of fat content which I prefer for flanks, mainly so I don't have to trim it.
