Billy Boy [Blu-ray]

This was a really good movie to watch. This movie gave teaching lessons to adults and teenagers. Parents are giving up on their children and throwing them out of the home and they have nowhere else to go or to turn to, and the children turn to the streets looking for love, family, and friends.

im not sure what the point of this movie was. it highlights how domestic violence echoes in people's lives, but as someone who has suffered a lot of abuse, i really didn't get that much out of it. the character's decision making is just a little too nonsensical and the ending felt pretty lame. it's well shot, well acted, well written, but seems to lack direction.

An angry teenager(Billy, played by Blake Jenner) gets beat up for trying to stop his best friend(Mikey, played by Grant Harvey) from killing an innocent man. Billy gets kicked out of his house. But Billy's world will fall apart when one of his friends is found dead in the street. Billy's friends rob and steal and generally get him into trouble but he tries to go straight and leave his buddies but gets brawn back in when they sabotage his attempts to get a better life. Great story and great acting and great direction. Very sad though how so many of out youth get lost in the shuffle. I love all the actors but Blake Jenner and Grant Harvey stand out in in excellent pack of performances. Big recommendation but it is is very violent.

Well constructed, filmed and edited. I was surprised how such a sad movie could be so amazing. Cast is outstanding also.My hat is off to everyone

sometimes you instantly know or feel what is wrong with a film. with this film the acting was very good; the directing was interesting in an uncomfortable choice of shooting some scenes; the atmosphere drew me in, but. but something was wrong and I could not, can not, feel what it is. I wanted to feel , but didn't. possibly there was too much going on and never settled exactly what was going on with these people. is it in the end.....everybody is broken in some way? I don't know.

Shows what young adults with no guidance / direction can end up as .Raw, gritty.Great performances. Sad though.

Great story... excellent writing and acting... well developed characters definitely come to life on the screen. I think special effect elements may have slowed the story down a bit but overall very good film.

Underrated Hidden Gem - Superb acting Real and Poignant.
