Large Print Compact Bible-NASB

Except for the line matching, the format of this Bible is similar to ESV Heritage. You have verses, chapter numbers and headers, but most of the translation notes and all of the references have been removed which makes this a SUPERB Bible for reading.Font size: 9 point - not for old eyes, although I dont think most younger / middle aged folks will have a problem reading this Bible.Text block: because this is a compact medium print Bible, the line spacing is very less, and the fact that there is no line matching may make some parts of the pages "appear" cluttered.Show-through / transparency of the paper - there is showthrough, but I did not find it too distracting. I had returned two Bibles by other publishers for show through issues, so show-through is an important point of consideration for me. While this Bible does not get full marks, it passes with an average grade. This is the only real weakness of this Bible as to why I did not rate this text block near full marks.Binding: Smythsewn - will last decadesCover: Synthetic and on the stiffer side, does not open flat on the first page until after much use. I may hardbind this or even leather bind this in future after the synthetic cover wears out - because I am fairly certain the text block itself will last decades.Ribbons: oneWords of Christ: Red, with a darker shade of red that is easier on the eyesOther features: left aligned text block make makes for consistent spaces between all words (i.e. a better reading experience). Reading the poetry section is a pleasure as the following images will show. Has parables of Jesus and the OT prophecies fulfilled in Christ at the back for easy reference.Best feature: compact, decent paper, great text block (durable), superb format (single column), uncluttered reading.Areas of improvement: line matching will greatly increase this edition's production value and reading experience, even if all else is same. A slightly creamier paper or an off white paper can also help its readability. I would have loved this same edition in hardcover, though I am not sure if it is available.VERDICT: Value for money, travelling Bible. Easily a 9/10, but given that I got this for only Rs. 1300 bucks - I have to give it a 9.5/10 - although I would have gladly paid a little more for line matching and a slightly offwhite paper.

I bought this as a gift for a Polish woman at my bible study. Very nice quality in my favourite translation. Nasb is considered to be the most reliable modern translation of the original Greek and Hebrew text.

Very good Christian bible. Big text and Jesus words in red. Modern English.

Very presentable Bible with a nice cover small enough to slip into a handbag.The text is 9 pt and I expected the text to be larger. If you want it more than this go for an extra large print.It is easy to read because the script goes right across the page, as opposed to some bibles where there are 2 columns.I gave it to my daughter for Christmas and she was delighted.

Although it was easy to read and compact enough to slip into my pocket, I was disapointed with the lack of suplimentary information ei no referance for other similar passages and the concordance limited. Not realy suitable for the serious student, more for following the inchurch readings.
