The two stars is for the GREAT customer service. Hydobond was proactive with ensuring my satisfaction, and they returned my money with no questions asked. Their customer service is second to none. I think perhaps I received a faulty unit? I thought it was OK until I tested the unit. I noticed that it had a range of only about 3 feet, so the opossums (or whatever) continued to soil my yard. I even replaced the batteries, thinking it would improve, but eventually the unit stopped working altogether. I suggest searching extensively for a good unit. It will take time.

I give this one star because for one, it beeps, every morning it beeps intermittently! And it is VERY ANNOYING!!! I bought it to scare off the cats that use my lawn as a litter box. It does not scare them! They walk by this device quite casually. It beeps when the wind blows though. I adjust the settings accordingly, like instructions suggested, 3 for cats and small animals and the volume button up, to see if it’ll do the job, but it does not. I’ve had it a little over a month now and would return it, (I kept the packaging, just in case) but just missed the return window, sadly.

A neighbor, unaware of the repeller, carried a cat past the animal repeller and it had a fit. The light activates when an animal comes within the right distance (which you can vary with a knob). You can also change the frequency. It never needs batteries as long as the batteries can be charged by its solar panel. Animals seem to be staying away. I suggest that hole should be added on the device to chain the device to prevent theft. I have tried other repellers by other companies that did not work at all.

I have it installed in the corner of small 18’x20 backyard according to specification. First this device requires to be in a direct sunlight to be charged. I have to take it down every 3-4 days to for recharging via usb cable. Second, it does not pick up small animals, for ex squirrels walk all over this thing and it does not turn on. Third, it does not react to cats either. They have no problems walking right in front of it. So don't waste your money, this is not a good solution for your pest problem.

A little background about me and why I bought this product. I live in a rural area, I have several small animals on my 6 acres of land. In my area I do encounter several hogs and coyotes. I placed 3 of these in high animal traffic areas towards the back of my property. They are far enough from my house where I cant hear them. However I have not seen any dug up ground (from wild hogs) nor do I hear the coyotes barking 300 yards away from my house this entire month. I highly recommend this device if you want troublesome animals away. Would buy again 9/10!

Unfortunately, this product didn’t scare away the coyotes, or keep them from coming into my yard and eating my chickens. The coyote just ignored it. Also, I had trouble with the batteries running out, even if I charged it overnight in the house several times a week.

It's working so far no cats birds dogs come by. Also my neighbors dogs moved to the opposite side of the yard. It doesn't hurt them it annoys the **** out of them till they leave the area or avoid the area all together. Going to buy another after I get paid.

I bought this product in order to scare away a possum and raccoon that come to my backyard and front door at night. Well these critters didn’t show up for two weeks but now they are back. I’m very disappointed.
