Enduro Engineering Skid Plate - Compatible with 2008-2019 Kawasaki KLR 650 24-8018

I mounted this on my Gen 3 ADV. Model. Had to drill 2 extra holes for the lower engine guard bars. But easy enough. Covers the oil drain much better.

This thing seems super solid it aligned up well with the factory mounting holes and allows oil drain plug removal. I feel like this thing could survive quite the smash from a rock but who knows time will tell how rugged this thing really is. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my 2022 KLR 650, and if I didn't have the adventure package with the bars on the side this would have bolted right up no problem, however if you have the bars on your bike you will need to do one of two things, either drill holes to let the bolts heads for the bars to come thru the plate, or simply drill holes and use those bolts to mount the skid plate which is what I did, after which I still used the original bolts to put in the back of the skid plate because once the other bolts are not blocking the plate from going up where it needs to be, you can then use the original bolts to secure it even more, the bolts that came in the kit are too short, I used all the original hardware, including the nut's that go on the bolts at the top of the plate. Used all the bolts and nuts that came out of the original plate and also drilled holes for the bolts that hold the bars on to go thru the plate and help secure it even more. worked great for me. did not use the foam padding or I would have had to buy all longer bolts to put this together.

Just did 500 miles on the NEBDR and was very glad to have this added protection. Bottomed out on the skidplate a few times with no resulting dents or bends. Simple installation, bolt holes all lined up and was done in 15 minutes.

Easy to install, looks good and seems to be built strong. I broke my original plastic KLR engine guard and this was exactly what I needed. Definitely recommend

This is a high quality product at a great price point. Installation was simple requiring only minor enlargement of one of the bolt holes.

I spent hours online going over review after review...Finally I came across this one, but didn't seem to have the rav reviews that the others had, but I saw some things different with this one, regarding design and coverage, so I went with it.So glad i did!This plate is absolutely perfect in every sense!It covers a lot more than others, and has a thicker aluminum.It also has the covered section for the oil plug, which was key, especially for a KLR.
