I will be 69 in two months and except for a small chain, stainless Steel,I don't wear jewelry . I have a watch I never wear. I just found out my birthstone is turquoise. So, I don't know jewelry,but can't imagine a piece more beautifully made than the one I am wearing. I don't even know I have it on its justthatright! I don't take it off. It's adrongnou,so male,femal would feel comfortablewith it. I don't think Id buy more and start wearing jewlery,but I am very very happy with this purchase.sorry for the long review. Update: 12/20. Stone still looks like it’s turquoise. Even tried finger nail polish remover, and chipping the stone slightly. Still awesome quality. Previous post: Don’t think it’s real. Too dark turquoise. Heated it and no change. But I know genuine turquoise. Something is off. But it is a beautiful necklace. Came quickly. And it gets a four star for awesome necklace adjustability/design

I wanted to have a genuine turquoise necklace for its healing properties for my thyroid. And I bought this one believing the description of the item. When it arrived, I was a bit suspicious and researched articles about how to spot if turquoise is real or fake. I did a small acetone test, and as you can see in the uploaded picture, it showed within a few seconds that it wasn't real but painted non-precious stone. If it was real turquoise, it wouldn't leave blue markings on the cotton when swiped with acetone! As I learned, the market is full of dyed Howlite that looks like turquoise but reveals itself when tested with acetone! This really is a shady practice because people like me would like to have this stone for its healing properties. This is a shame! I wasted my time and money to receive this and then return! So you've been warned. If you're looking for the healing properties of the genuine turquoise, this isn't it!

I purchased two of these raw turquoise very very nice good quality I gave one to my daughter who is expecting and she loves it and I love it as well

The media could not be loaded. Some people believe that the power of a stone comes from the color rather than the chemical compound that it is, but when i buy a turquoise necklace, id want real turquoise. Both color and what its made of are important to me. This necklace is dyed. I dont know what its made of, but i can clearly see parts where the dye rubbed off before it was glossed. Its a cheap imitation. Pretty, and a great product if all you care about is the color. But its not for me.

The stone I received much nicer than the picture of turquoise. I like it full length like the one worn by Zoe Kravitz in Big Little Lies. It's beautiful and what I wanted.
