Marked up for future reference
I was recommended to read this by a recruiter friend of mine after we'd been talking about types of companies that would be great to work for. Stengel takes his years of marketing experience and suggests an ethos for corporate success, namely that ideals are at the heart of sustained growth. He uses lots of interesting examples to demonstrate 5 core ideals and the key elements that must be in place to bring those - and ongoing profitable growth - to the fore. Unusually for me with a business book, I've marked several pages with sticky tabs so it's definitely gone back onto the bookshelf for future reference.

Focus on ideals to grow brands
Really interesting read on focusing on purpose and ideals (ideally , that help people ) to grow a business. Some good varied examples from a number of brands. Like most business books, it gets a bit repetitive in places.

Insightful even for a second time reading!
I had read Stengel's Grow book twice. While you think you consumed the enjoyment the first time, you realize that there is more to live, feel and enjoy. It's a piece of art well crafted. Initially, you think this book and any business that tries its ideals is too idealistic and won't survive the first encounter with Wall Street, nevertheless, with further scrutiny to the cases in the book, you truly believe this what drives great companies; great companies that are built to last as Collins puts it. Well done!
