I am not quite convinced about the way it works... But it definitely changes the taste of the wine! Nevertheless, you must be extra careful not to leave it in contact with the wine for too long!!! Just 2 or 3 seconds will be enough!

I wanted to love this. I bought it on the grounds that even if it seemed too good to be true, that on the off chance it did work it would be totally worth it. Maybe the one I got wasn't truly authentic. It looks exactly like the one in the picture, and has a good heft and feels like a quality product, but the packaging was questionable. The pamphlet it came with looked like it was printed on regular computer paper.On to the actual testing of the product. To put it bluntly- no detectable effect. We used it first on a very pricey red wine. No effect. Even when submerged for a lengthy period all it did was add a barely perceptible metallic aftertaste. Then we tried it on a young white wine. Again no effect. Honestly, after seeing all the positive reviews I feel it is my duty to warn anyone contemplating this purchase. We experimented over and over with this. We gave the wine to connoisseurs and to wine noobs but nobody could tell a dang thing. Eventually it became clear we were just desperately clinging to the hope that it was our fault and not the product. Unfortunately, some things that seem too good to be true really are too good to be true.Honestly, I can feel people who are on the fence reading this review and then taking a look at the other five star reviews and wondering who has it right. I can feel you wanting me to be wrong. Let me assure you, those reviews are so positive compared to my experience that it begs the question of their accuracy. You've been warned.

I don't like spending more than $10-12 on a bottle of wine unless it's a special occasion. This wine aging key makes a cheap wine taste great! It instantly makes it smooth and better tasting. Great for boxed wine drinkers. I like the leather holster, and when I remember to, I put it my purse for dining out. It's fun to take a sip of wine before, and compare it with after using the wine key. The difference is always remarkable. Well worth the price if you drink wine frequently.

I bought the Clef du Vin as gift for my husband and he loved it , it really changes the taste of the wine making it taste better. It has been such a great conversation piece too ! We really recommend it for all wine lovers !This is the second clef du vin I buy, this is also for a gift.

This thing works! I've read other reviews that say it doesn't but the proof is in the pudding - well, the wine. I love it. It makes a table red wine into something much more special.

I'm enjoing using the Wine Aging Key. It can really makes a difference. Just the other day I had a cab with a lot of tannins and by using the key it gave the wine a much better taste. I would definitely recommend having one.

OK, I read dozens of reviews both before and after purchasing this. I'm not totally sure how it works (copper interacting with the chemical structure of the wine?) but I can testify that it works. For me, as one without a great wine palate, I notice that decrease in the "bite" (tannic taste) more than anything. But I'm a confirmed user and carry this with me for dining out and to friend's homes. Do the blind taste test with friends for some fun -- and enjoy their amazed looks when they taste the difference.

You can taste the difference on the taste of the wine and the smoothness even with 2 seconds, equivalent roughly to 2 years of aging. It works and it us why copper and gold are forbidden in the process to make wine.The Clef du Vin is designed not to improve the wine, but to see how it will age. It provides a nice topic for conversation and it is a great gift.Highly recommended.

Stupid buy ....
