Winco - 7 1/2" Clam Knife, Shucker, Shellfish, Seafood Knife, SS, Set of 2

Been opening quahogs (cherrystones, little necks, etc.) for over 60 years - must have opened 25,000 or more in my life - using all kinds of clam knives. Some thick handle, some thin, some sharp, some not so sharp, and these are at least as good as any other. Sharp, a good size handle, a blade that isn't too long or two short. No complaints at all. Buy a pair, I recommend it.

delivery speed - super fast. i ordered on 10pm Sunday, amazon texted 1:30am Monday morning as it left whitestown IN. arrived at my mailbox Tuesday noon.package - came in a flat package in good condition. product itself - blade was in a cardboard cover, entire knife inside a plastic bag. then the two knife were in tide plastic wrap - very safe proof package - not frustration free though.price - walmart.com has a clam knife (not same brand or anything) for double the price.well, i ordered this set as my 2nd day of opening the two dozen of live clams.day 1 - used a pairing knife - 3 clams later i bent the tip of the knife, cut myself.day 2 - about 3 hours later, i clean the rest of two dozen, hurt my index finger (of pushing the knife in), but no injury. some of the clam was hard to open - not sure if i am a noob or not.but knife is still the same good condition. not sure how sturdy of the wooden pieces tho.but overall - good price, fast delivery, arrived in good condition. seen to work fine.

The knife was nice & sturdy but def can’t open a clam. Definitely don’t recommend this

Good value, did the job of more expencive knives. Felt good in the hand and worked very well. Blade was sturdy, well made, sharp enough to do the job, but not overly thick.

I left my expensive clam knife elsewhere when I brought my basket of quahogs home so ordered this two-pack on Prime to get me into the clams. I was expecting a cheapo, Chinese, throw-away type product, but was pleasantly surprised. The blade and wooden handle are solid, of high quality, and the edge is perfect for opening quahogs easily and without injury. I may buy another pair to keep them handy and/or give out to friends when I give them some of my hog spoils.

Sturdy,simple knife with thick blade, getting 2 for a very inexpensive price is great (good points), but the edge was sharpened too much. One slip and you'll slice your hand badly. One's hand often slips when opening fresh clams. I had to round off the edge myself with my own files. (bad points.)

well made product and a very nice deal for two. my fish market charges 16 bucks for one. I ran to Amazon real quick after seeing that crazy price.
