Dexter - Russell makes THE best oyster and clam knives.I was in the restaurant business for over 35 years and we had these in all the raw bars. If you nick or break them, they’re easy to reshape and sharpen.

Best oyster knife on the market. I have tried others and have either broken the blade or handle. I have shucked 500 to 600 oysters at one time and when finished my had was not cramping. To only thing I do recommend is a good glove. For safety.

All my life I have been using an older oyster knife. It was a little loose but I never thought anything of it.I always had trouble opening oysters with that knife but just assumed oysters were difficult to open.UNTIL I BOUGHT THIS KNIFEBest decision I ever made! This thing opens oysters like its nothing! I can't explain how much better this knife is than my old one.If you are someone that has a mediocre knife a brand new knife (specifically this one) will do wonders. I now buy oysters each week because it is not a hassle to open them anymore.Great knife, well built and I cannot see this loosening or falling apart anytime soon!Highly recommended! Shuck on!

This item exceeded my expectations. It arrived very quickly and was nicely packaged. The knife is very solid all around and while short, it is very handful. The white handle is thicker than normal knives and this made it easier to grip it so it doesn't loosen from your hand. At first I had difficulty with my first tries, but then I was able to open up oysters like a pro with some help of my trusty rubber mallet. This is definitely the right tool for the job. By the way, if you are interested in getting one, make sure to wear protective gloves whenever you intend to open up oysters since you can easily cut yourself. Trust me, you will thank me later.

I absolutely love this shucker knife. I am pleased to report, it is made in the U. S. A! I’d like to see Amazon identify which products are made in the USA versus other places in the world. I would highly recommend this high-quality USA made shucking knife.
