BELWITH PRODUCTS LLC 1155 Mostise Lock, Polished Brass

Looks good and works great. But easily noticable when the rest of the parts are tarnished on the old door.

I've purchased this exact product before (First Watch brand) and it had worked great, but the keys were lost, so I had to replace it. The replacement which just arrived was defective - the bolt which slides when the door knob turns, occasionally caught inside of the housing. On inspection, I see that the two weld points were akimbo, so one side is lower, and jams.I was able to salvage parts from the original one, and combine with this new one to get it to work, but had they not been identical, this would have been a failure.3 start on account of the original one from a few years ago still working.

The hole was smaller so needed to be chiseled out. Then realized it was for a right swing door, but then we had to switch it.

The deadbolt on this operates fine, however, the latch itself is not very good. If you turn the handle all the way it often gets caught on the inside of the housing and doesn't extend back out. You have to push on it and re-position it. Other than that it is ok. You can take the screw out of the middle and flip the latch around to accommodate the direction the door swings. Fairly easy to install. This was a little larger than the original mortise lock i had in my door but it wasn't difficult to modify the original hole to get this to fit.

Product came exactly as described, but I wasn't able to use it cause it was slightly larger than the one I was trying to replace. Quaility seemed a bit cheap, but worth what I paid for it.

it came open loose in the box i ordered 3 and they were ball like this everything was there exept the striker plate

fit well in my 100 year old house. Outside covers are a littlr weak but the are inserted inside the door, just dont force it or drop it. Product works great

Great lock and super easy install! The quality is excellent and the finish is lovely. The bottom part on the lock though (the gold color part) was a bit too long for the existing lock cutout in my door so I had to go with another lock. But otherwise, I recommend this lock set.
