We have a very traditional cottage with a kitchen to match so I have been looking for ages for an electric kettle that wasn’t too out of place and modern looking. Not only does the style of this kettle fit the bill perfectly, it’s also an excellent quality piece of kit. It feels and looks solid and very well made. It comes with a two year guarantee, which I’m sure it will survive. Yes, it was expensive, but I think the quality is worth the cost.Following the advice of several other reviewers here I emailed the company (in Italy) immediately after making my order, to request a steel filter rather than the default plastic one. They replied within 24 hours saying it would be done (at no extra cost). Their communication felt both efficient and courteous.The Amazon Dispatch email said I should expect the kettle between 16 - 20th July. It arrived on the 15th.Maybe I’m a hopeless case to be so chuffed about a kettle, but I am so pleased with everything about it.

Beautiful on outside but slight design fault on inside in that water does not completely pour out as there is a lip inside at the bottom of the fault. If you don’t remove this, the tea doesn’t taste as well.

I am so pleased with my new kettle. It looks stunning and well made, is quiet, fast boiling and, more importantly, has no plastic components inside, just the base and handle are plastic. I sent an email after ordering to request a stainless steel filter, as others have suggested and it arrived with this in place. It has the look of an old stove top kettle with a lovely spout that pours well. The spout is reminiscent of those old fashioned stainless teapots that never dripped!It arrived well packaged in cardboard with a thank you letter and came in good time. Although slightly more expensive than previous kettles I've bought, I feel this is well worth it for the quality and I'm hoping it will last a long time.My only problem was with DHL - I was told it had been delivered but there was no sign of it. Eventually, we found it on the doorstep of an empty house nearby, though I gave very clear instructions for the delivery.

I wanted a kettle with no plastic parts anywhere near the water and this is what you get - but, as others have said, do ask for the (free) stainless steel filter when ordering.The customer service is first rate. I was disappointed with the last two kettles (other brands) that were fine for a while and then rusted or leaked after a few years. This kettle is extremely well made, well balanced and has a proper spout: brilliant to have something designed to function, not just to look pretty!It is expensive but you really do get what you pay for and I think this is good value for money.

I never thought I would pay that much for a kettle. but in the last few years we have had 3 mid-range kettles fail on us, one after 6 weeks, and they all had shortcomings, particularly poor spout design so they poured badly and dripped, weak filter so that flakes of scale came into the hot drink . This one has a superb spout that pours neatly and controllably, a large steel filter and the whole kettle is robust and gives us confidence that it will out last our previous models. This "investment" will pay for itself if the kettle lasts more than 4 years, which I am sure it will!.

Bought (September 2017) Ottoni Fabbrica Italian Top Kettle "Fjord Satinato" 2400W 1,7 L, broke down 2 weeks ago blowing fuses in kitchen. Switch on light works after replacing the fuse, however kettle not heating up.

The kettle is elegant and it looks gorgeous in my kitchen. The plastic filter was replaced by stainless steel, which improved the taste of my drinks. Even the instant coffee tastes and looks better (creaminess on top). There is no more accidental spillage of water and the kettle is quieter than the cheap ones. Summary, you get what you pay for. The kettle could be quieter, but I am satisfied with the trade-off of level of noise and quality of drinks. Very easy to clean and fill. Up to now I been able to avoid accumulation of calcium resulting from hard water. I would recommend despite of being a bit more expensive than other brands in the market.

Best purchase in years, this is made with high quality materials, wonderful design and craftsmanship. Everything about it was quality, and the customer service was brilliant.It looks and handles brilliantly and I wouldn't be without it, would recommend to anyone
