Hobby Wing 38010204 Ezrun Max10 ESC with 3652SL G2 Sensorless Brushless Motor - Combo (4000Kv)

Works perfect especially for the money. I'm generally new to the whole brushless motor thing so make sure you program it before you use it. I'm running mine with a Slash 4x4. I did a lot of research but I couldn't find what plug the ESC had on it, I thought it wouldn't have a connector at all like some of the other versions I saw but this one came with an Xt60 plug on it. So getting a plug adapter (Ex. XT60 - Traxxas Connector) with it rather than soldering your own plug on it is much easier. One big problem I had and still have is mounting the ESC. There's no mounting plate all it comes with is this sticky tape kinda thing and it doesn't work with the Slash 4x4 because the belly of the chassis is not smooth, it has many ridges and supports as shown in the images. I put tape on the bottom of the ESC and then hot-glued it to the chassis (so the glue wouldn't be directly on the ESC and damage the ESC) and it worked for a little bit but eventually, the ESC came loose again. I run mine with the stock Traxxas 8.4v battery and it runs fast and well and with more run time than with the stock TItan 12t motor. No problems mounting it up if you wanna run it with the Slash 4x4 and replace the brushed motor you should change the pinion to a 13t, makes it run faster and doesn't overheat anything. The motor's never hot with the gearing setup and it runs fast. Great motor, definitely worth the money. it is as good as the overpriced Velineon motor. I really just wish there was a good way to mount it on the car. I'm sure there's one I just can't find one.

The media could not be loaded.  Wires aren’t too long. Easy to program. Stays cool when others get hot. Best bearings. Works excellent on 2s and 3s. Fan is super quiet and even though it has no grill to protect it it’s never broken. I’ve had more time and runs before a motor rebuild than all my other brand motors. This thing is bulletproof!

After my 12T Titan burnt up I decided to upgrade to brushless. This Max10 ESC paired with the 4000KV motor seemed like a great option at a great price... I am very happy with this purchase. Installation was very easy, this was the first time I’ve ever installed an ESC and Motor into an RC car. I kept the stock gearing, because I don’t want to mess with gear mesh yet, and it seems faster than the brushed motor was. I have not had the chance to take it out to the track but bashing it around the park was a lot of fun!I have the LCG chassis so I had no place to mount the ESC so I had to get creative with some wire. Also, the motor leads and the motor temp lead are quite short so again I had to get a little creative. When I get more comfortable with making wire leads I will extend these but for now it works.

The motor made my RC truck faster than a stock Traxxas slash 4x4 I ran it on a 2S 5800 MAH Lipo battery After a lot of hard acceleration and speed the motor was pretty warm to the touch you could barely touch it but the ESC was cool not hot at all. I could see how running it on a 3S Wood heat up the motor and ESC and burn them out. the ESC comes with a fan and a spare fan. I believe that this ESC and motor is well worth the money.

So it is rock simple stupid to install in a 4x4 slash, it was my extra parts truck that got built and finished to become my basher/ dust racer. I have used hobbywing for a 13.5 spec truggy build and the motor lasted 3 season so far. This one has plenty of power runs cool with a fan. I wish they put out a long can version for sct's

This is great for the money, really easy to install,and is a beast for 2wd slash. With 76 spur and 23 pinion on 3s. Gets around 18 minutes of run time before getting the motor to hot for your hand. The esc stays cool with the fan. I think it's great. And I'm going to buy another one for my rustler 2wd.

Bought this to upgrade from my brushed motor in my Rustler 4X4, and WOW is it an upgrade. The motor is 4000kV and so far I've only run it with 2 cell LiPo and it runs great, just a bit warm to the touch. I did change the battery connector to the Traxxas style to work with my existing batteries. The truck is way faster than with the brushed motor and it's a whole new world of fun.

I just put this set in my Rustler and I have to say I’m impressed. In my opinion, it’s just as strong as the factory Velineon motor. I’m running mine on 2 cell lipos. I got excellent run time, speed, and power. I have not made any changes to the stock settings, just installed and went driving.I was nervous about buying this kit since I had not heard of them and at the time of writing this there was only one review. That review was something simple like “works good”.I’ve only taken it out once but so far I’m really impressed.
