Comfortable and Solid
We purchased this chair to go in our office and it looks like it is going to work out perfectly! We just received it, but so far so good. Decided we wanted a Scandinavian-type chair in the office. After looking around we realized those type of chairs are EXPENSIVE. Worth the money, but for a chair we sit maybe one hour a day, not what we wanted to spend. Bought this one bc it was less expensive and looked more solid than some of the others less-expensive options. This chair is a affordable, comfortable, and looks great. And, we put it together in about 20 mins (watch a video on it to pickup some tips/hints)

Great comfort. Nice Leather. Nice visual design. Really cheap unseen hardware
This is a very comfortable chair. Fits better than most that I've tried and the leather seems to be of better quality. So why only 3 stars? The swivel base. The base is a plastic hoop that sits on the ground. Five or six metal c fittings with a single open ball bearing are screwed to the underside of the round wooden base. These clamp like fittings fit over the plastic hoop sitting on the ground and glide over it resting on a single ball bearing. Kind of like a monorail. Straight out of the box it ground and stuck and had lots of friction. I called seller and they were very kind offering to send me a new plastic hoop. I told them the hoop wasn't defective. It had to be an alignment prob or just a plain bad design. I'd call back after looking closer. Upon looking closer and disassembling the base I discovered that the ball bearing in the little clamp fitting was impacted with styrofoam beads and dust from the SUPER CHEAP bead board the chair came packed in. Also foam beads and dust covered every surface in my living room. After cleaning the degraded foam from around the ball bearings the base swiveled freely. For a week or so. This time the ball bearings were impacted little black and white hairs. I looked over to the couch where my blue heeler puppy, Auggie was sound asleep. Argh! Why are these bearings so open that dirt and dust can get up into them and for that matter why is the base a plastic ring on a chair that costs nearly a grand? This would be a GREAT chair if it would be a $300.00 from Costco. But it's not. Its a chair that costs over a grand if you buy it in a store. There's no excuse for cheaping out on build for that price point! None. That being said it's REALLY, REALLY comfy.

Good chair but not the best lumbar support
This is indeed a very comfortable chair, but if you have a bad back don't expect it to provide adequate lumbar support. It took about 2 minutes before shocks radiated from my bad disc. Also, it cradles the sides of your back (I'm 5-9") causing your shoulders to roll forward and it tilts the head. Not the best posture. I would buy it anyway, I just use a lumbar roll to make it work for me. Also, mine didn't swivel so I called the company in Fla and they suggested I lubricate the base with lithium grease. I believe that will fix it, since people report that theirs swivels freely. And Amazon is ready to send a replacement if needed. It assembles easily, though it is challenging for one person. The tilt is easy to use and lays back far enough but not quite horizontal. You don't need to lock it in position.

This one was damaged just like the first
Today we received the 2nd damaged chair from Amazon's vendor via UPS. They call it a DROPSHIP. Well, it is, literally.....dropped, that is. This one was damaged just like the first. Areas of the beautiful wood frame damaged on both the chair and ottoman. Seems like at +$900 with tax the manufacturer would spend a little more money on packaging. What a shame but the saga continues. Then you get it unpacked and have to figure out the puzzle of getting it re-packed for return. And then muscle the 98 lbs back to UPS. We packed the chair better than the Oslo people. Here's a tip: go to a store and find a chair. Have them deliver it. The hassles disappear! Certain things do well via mail order....furniture is apparently not one of them.....

Absolutely the most comfortable recliner I have found!!
Absolutely the most comfortable and well made with the finest materials! I am very impressed with this Recliner. I have had three back surgeries and I was looking for a comfortable chair that would support my back and I am pleased behind comprehension with this product. This recliner is built very well and it will support your body like a glove, I mean the sides and the back are perfect I plan on using this chair for many years to come. There are two sizes of this chair, this is the larger unit. The smaller recliner is sold for less money, and the only difference is that the less expensive unit is smaller, shorter back and seat. That one may be designed for smaller people? I am 6 feet tall and weigh 185 Lbs., and I fit this unit perfect!~
