Excellent
Fascinating first hand account of one of the very few German pilots who flew the Ar.234 jet bomber/reconnaissance aircraft during WWII.He had some very close calls and was very lucky to have survived the war. What I did like about the author was his honest and frank opinions about the war which some readers may not appreciate or agree with. (He portrayed himself as just a loyal patriotic German soldier doing his duty and even blamed the allies of war crimes). The best book I've read so far this year.

From the German Side
I read the Kindle version. This is a fast read and gives a quick look at things from a German pilot's viewpoint. However, I did not find it overly enjoyable. The author did his best and that was it.

Well worth the money - flying the AR234
Autobiography of a WW2 Luftwaffe navigator in a bomber group. Later trained to be a pilot and flew the AR234. This alone makes this book worth reading. But there is much more to make this book a very interesting read. It is well written and in my options sounds very authentic. The author meets some really interesting people during this time in the Luftwaffe. He gives his honest opinion of many if them. If you are interested in the Luftwaffe from WW2 this should be on your reading list.
