Best Sounding Musician's Earplug I've Tried (so far)
As a long-time (20+ years) performer, recording/mix engineer & concert-goer, I've tried lots of the usual suspects including the Etymotic ER20, Earpeace Music Earplugs, and the Mack's Hear Plugs (which were previously my favorite) and these blow all of them away as far as fidelity is concerned. The biggest difference is that they seem to attenuate the lows & low mids equal to the rest of the spectrum whereas others I've tried seem to cut everything above ~400-500Hz and let the lower frequency content right through, resulting in a muted, muddy sound overall - especially in the important 3khz to 8khz range, most responsible for the clarity in vocals, attack of guitars, and wash of cymbals (incidentally the range most likely to cause hearing damage). To my ears, these don't sound ~completely~ flat, perhaps cutting a bit more in the midrange than the highs and lows? Nonetheless, compared to the others I've tried these are the closest I've heard to simply lowering overall volume without too much of a sacrifice in tonal balance. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who - like me - has been unsatisfied with the sound of other "hi-fi" earplugs. The only downside is that the rubber (silicone?) fittings are slightly stiffer than I'm used to, so sliding them in to fit snugly is a slight bit uncomfortable. Once seated, I find it helpful to use the tip of a finger to lift the edge of the rubber away from my ear canal a bit to allow for some built-up air pressure to escape, as the filter doesn't seem to be permeable enough to allow it to escape while inserting. It seals back up once I let go & makes them much more comfortable than the weird head pressure feeling that I get if I don't.

I didn't like them at first - it was difficult to add ...
I play an acoustic instrument and bought these to lessen the loudness without altering the tone. I didn't like them at first - it was difficult to add the cords. The parts are small and seem delicate. I say 'seem delicate' because now I think that the rubber compounds are probably more robust than they seem. Second, they seemed too small to fit properly in my normal sized ears. It turns out, you have to moisten them and really jam them down the ear canal. Freaky at first, but after a few weeks I do it without worry. The only remaining problem is a result of putting them deep in the ear canal...after a minute or two, sometimes never, one or both will 'pop'. It sounds like I'm having an aneurysm :-) I can never tell exactly when or if it will happen. Usually while I'm beginning to play. It's loud enough to make my head jerk. [Pro tip: don't hit the record button until a generous amount of time after seating] Aside from that one remaining problem, I find these indispensable. They are comfortable enough to use for hours. Conversation is possible while wearing them. I think higher frequencies are cut more than fundamentals because sounds are 'brighter' when I remove them. The fundamentals of instruments come through nicely. For me they fit better than Etymotic ETY-Plugs High Fidelity Earplugs, and they don't show as much. I think the ETY's may block more.

Earplugs are a must have, and these do the job brilliantly
These do a much better job than conventional earplugs of allowing concerts sound to be heard with reasonable quality only quite a bit quieter. They are reasonably comfortable and last for many uses. I have bought them several times. Good earplugs are a life saver.

If you have large ear canals you might consider larger plugs. But, over all I like them
Like that I can still hear what I need to hear while singing with my very loud band. They are kind of small for my ear canal and the smaller pair are too small. But still effective.

Bought for band practice since WM25's seemed a little too muted
I bought these to replace use of my WM25 Westone earplugs for band practice, because while the WM25s worked way way better than foam earplugs for hearing what everyone was playing, I still felt like I was getting a loss of hearing on the guitars compared to the bass (which seemed magnified) and drums. These ones feel like they do slightly better at hearing the higher pitched guitar notes, but the bass still seems magnified. I think that may just be how it goes and you have to accept it to some degree (it's better than my minor tinnitus becoming worse!). I'm keeping the WM25s for when I go to professional concerts and using these for practice.

great for my ears
I'm a musician and need this while performing. I previously bought a pair from another company that were a bit cheaper. These work better than than the previous pair. They fit comfortably in my ear and do a great job of lowering the volume. I have a pair of Westone In Ear Monitors that I have for when I'm working with a group that has them. When I'm working with a band with traditional monitors I use these plugs. Got some for my sister as well because she likes going to see live music and she was surprised how well they worked compared t what she had been using

Good sounding for musicians
THese leave the high frequencies intact for the most part. Of course the 12k and above are not that present, but very usable in a live setting
