Moon: A Peek-Through Picture Book

I bought this book for my grandson a couple of years agovand and we still delight in reading it and so enjoy the beautiful illustrations and the shiny moon. I recently wanted to purchase a copy for another child and, whilst it is essentially the same, the moon lacks its silvery appearance and is just a dull creamy yellow. I suppose if you haven’t seen it before in all it’s glory it will still appeal but to me it is lacking part of its charm.

This looks a lovely book for my Grandson. He is learning about the Moon at school and loves it. The book is a really good quality Hard Back Cover book.Delivery was prompt and courteous. Packaged really well.

Received this book today excited to read it to my little girl tonight,Wonderful colour and after a brief flick thru the illustrations and wording is perfect for a bed time book.

Beautifully illustrated, we enjoy reading this with our baby, would work well as a bedtime story to read to small children

This book is beautiful. We were given one as a gift and then we decided to buy another for a friend because we love it so much!

My son’s favourite book. He askes for me to read it every night multiple times. He has even memorise some parts.

Through Patricia Hegarty’s words and Britta’s art we are taken on a journey around the world seeing the phases of the moon in different places, showing how we may live in different places that we all live under the same moonThe art is as always beautiful and testament to Britta’s skills rendering natural nighttime scenes, dark and smudgy with shadows and glowingly highlighted by the differing light of the moon cleverly created through page cut outs.This is a lovely book especially for the young her age group as it explores ‘nighttime’ moon cycles, animals and habitat but is also lovely to share with older children pushing a little deeper and higher value questioning on the same topics.
