Pasture-Raised appears to be the most humane way to keep chickens used for eggs.I used to buy organic, I used to buy cage-free, I used to buy free range. Cage free and free range might be out of a cage, but still crammed in a room that's too small, with little light, where they can barely move. Pasture Raised claims to have a certain amount of square footage, and time outside, for each chicken.Currently (Feb 2020) Vital Farms has a nice gimmick where they're putting the name of some of their egg farms on their cartons. By going to their website and entering the name on your carton, you can see a video of the farm where your eggs came from. Kind of fun :-)These cost a little more than other eggs, but it's worth it to know that they came from chickens who had a better life than most.

Those are by far the best eggs I have ever tried in the US. Some people think that eggs are eggs... if you want to know the difference between excellent eggs and others, just try these. You don't need to be a chef or a "foodie" to distinguish them from the rest. (In case you are curious, the best eggs I ever had in my life were in Sicily, Italy, but that is a completely different story and no one can compete with eggs or tomatoes from there!).

These are pricey, but seriously the best on the market. We come from Poland when it’s common to buy eggs directly from farmers who prize their rare birds. Nothing can beat that rich flavor and dark creamy yolks.... but Vital Farms comes close any this particular kind of eggs is the best in the whole line.

Sometimes it has blood spots but mostly it is perfect and they taste good.

Vital Farms Lucky Ladies eggs taste terrific!! I have always purchased certified humane or organic eggs for years. These eggs are not organic, but they are certified humane, which is becoming more and more important to me with respect to the food I eat at home. I noticed the delicious fresh flavor of the eggs right away and was truly impressed. I am ordering them again this week.

Yolks are bright orange and eggs have a rich taste, first time that i see/eat commercially available eggs that resembl the fresh village eggs that i'm lucky to get whenever i go back to Greece.Perfect for tiramisu and other desserts that require good quality eggs to come out right.
