Mens Watches JUNKERS Cockpit JU52 6144-3

I just received my Junkers Cockpit JU52 quartz watch and am rather happy with it.First of all I bought the watch because of the yellow minute and red/white stripe hour dial hands. I also like the seconds hand with the pointed end. All these contrast beautifully with the black dial & white Arabic numeral hour indicators making it particularly easy to see and read. It appears like a mini pilot's cockpit dial. The 40 mm case in satin (not polished) steel adds yet another level of contrast that is augmented by the classic 'pilot' type, large sized crown at the 3 o'clock. The size is not massive, which might be a turn off for some potential buyers, but I liked it nonetheless (actually a bit of a relief from some of the monsters fashion dictates we lug around these days). A date window at the same side (3 o'clock) adds a modern level of convenience.The thick leather band is in black leather contrasted by white stitching. The buckle, in steel, in the same color as the case/crown nicely finishes off the watch. The band is a tad stiff, but then again its brand new.The watch comes in a handsome quality presentation box.All in all a lovely watch to look at and wear.Best of all is the very reasonable price.

I like traditional "aviator" watches, and this one in particular is eye-catching since the dial is designed to resemble an aircraft instrument dial. The watch is solid and appears well-made, with a nice band.My only significant complaint is that the second hand does not line up with the second markers. This is a common issue in inexpensive quartz watches. Some people might not even notice, but I find it annoying, and it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to adjust the position of the movement relative to the dial so that the second hand will line up with the markers.Another minor issue that might matter to some: the hands are not luminous, although the dial markers are. I suspect that in other versions of this watch (without the yellow and red/white hands), the hands are luminous. With this version, a decent charge of daylight or artificial light will cause the dial numbers to glow visibly--but the hands are not at all visible. So--don't count on using this watch in the dark!Overall, a striking design, a good value at the price I paid ($179), and one of my new favorite watches. It would be much improved with a little more attention to detail.

Hands do not glow, but numbers do. Second hand points in between marks. Otherwise it tells time just fine....

Highly visible time and lightweight. Perfect for my dad who needs a lightweight easy to see but cool watch. I'm tempted to order one for myself!

Great watch, keeps great time!

Do not buy this watch if you want an accurate timepiece.This is now the second watch I have bought from Junkers, giving the first (Junkers Bauhaus Quartz) the benefit of the doubt. However, the hands STILL DO NOT TICK ACCURATELY.For half of the dial face, the hands tick in between the second markers! I've never seen this on a watch before. Both this and the Bauhaus series do the same, they tick accurately for half the dial and then the other half the second hand is all over the place. For such a beautiful looking watch this is a disappointment.Made In Germany is supposed to be an indicator of quality. As a German myself, this is an embarrassment to the marque of Junkers that made such iconic planes coming from a country that is supposed to be renowned for precision.Buy a Seiko or a something else if you want an accurate piece. Other than looking good at a distance (which is something a $30 watch can do just as well), this is a waste of money. Anyone who looks closely at the watch will see the embarrassing second hand tick. This is something you'd expect on a $3 watch, not a $300 watch. Even a $3 watch from eBay would manage to tick accurately across the dial. What an absolute joke.Never again buying a Junkers watch and will never recommend them to anyone. I'll save for a Sinn or a Breitling and enjoy Seikos for the meantime.

Pretty cool watch, looks nice and not very expensive. The band sucks however, seems to be targeted at people with really small wrists.

aber nicht ganz billig, außer man kauft sie im Angebot. Auffälliges Design. Einziges Manko: Im Vergleich zu meinen vielen anderen Uhren (habe mehr als 30) färbt das Armband bei Kontakt mit Desinfektionsmittel, das ich beruflich häufig nutzen muss, gelegentlich ab. Das tut kein einziges anderes Armband, das ich besitze.

Very nice watch. I had bought a similar Junkers watch seven years ago in Germany and had been very satisfied. Basic watch, without features you do need.

First many thanks for the very speedy delivery, it arrived on my birthday which added to the celebrations. Well what can I say, a nicely engineered watch that gives you confidence it will last a long, long time. The face is big enough for me to see without my glasses, and I love the "altimeter" hands. I set it up on the 29/5 by using the BT talking clock, Nine days later it hasn't lost a second. The strap is made of stiff leather, but again it shouts quality, and is comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend Junkers timepieces if you want a solid, accurate and stylish watch.
