Great Computer
So, taking college classes online with a buggy laptop is not a great idea. My laptop was a Christmas Gift four years ago, a Black Friday purchase from my mom from one of those big stores with a W. It was never what one would call great, and I would even stop short of good. My laptop I bought in Afghanistan in 2010 that had to have an external keyboard and mouse because of the bad connections on the motherboard was faster (it was my backup until it become inoperable due to an internal short somewhere that I could not fully track down. YES, it had a short.)Well, it became time and a matter of desperation to get a new computer. I found some I really liked, and my wife did not necessarily veto, but said let's see if we can find something cheaper for now. I came across this desktop computer (I work at my desk, I DO NOT NEED A LAPTOP). My requirements were decent amount of RAM, at least 500 GB of storage, and be in the same class of speed for my custom built PC from 2006 that my ex-wife kept (She doesn't even game!) Sub $500 was definitely a requirement because it is almost Christmas.I read the specs for this laptop, no reviews for this model for the seller, and I decided I wanted this one. It arrived exactly as stated, in a big brown box inside of another brown box. I unpacked it, removed the cover just to check connections (I am an electronics technician by trade, and have had several frustrating issues with cables coming lose in shipping.) Went to hook up the monitors and realized I pulled a stupid human trick. I purchased Mini-Display to HDMI cables, not standard. So off to a local store to acquire some and after paying way too much for two cables, got everything hooked up and booted up.The computer runs great as sold! I did make an upgrade and traded out the included hard drive for a Solid State Drive and wow! This computer is amazing! I cannot complain at all. An upgraded video card to replace the onboard will come at a later time after schoolwork slows down, but this is a really good computer that didn't break the bank. The seller delivered it as advertised. There was a keyboard and a mouse included. They work, but the keyboard feels awkward. It just doesn't have a a good typing feel, and the mouse feels like I am going to break it using it. I am upgrading those, but they work.I would buy this again if I was in the need for a computer. It is not going to be the most awesome gaming system this year, but it is going to meet my needs of some videos, some video games, and a lot of schoolwork. The 16GB of RAM was a major selling point for me.If you need computer, this would be one you should at least consider. For me, it is the one I needed, and the one I wanted.

Great value and great product support
We have bought multiple refurbished computers from Joy Systems and they are a great company to work with. When dealing with refurbs, there is always the chance something may not work right... out of multiple orders this has only happened a couple of times, but their support is extremely quick and responsive. In today’s marketplace, that is extremely rare. We will continue to buy from Joy for all of our clients needs.

So far so good, had it a month
Works harder than my old laptop, mainly used for Photoshop and playing the Sims3 (notoriously a memory hog). Paired with a nice big flatscreen monitor and a really decent setup for under $500!
