Works well
Bought this to make my own pods for use in single serve pod-based coffee makers. Yeah, it's expensive, but I know a solid piece of Aluminium isn't cheap, nor are CNC machines, so I guess it's reasonably priced for profit. It worked very well for the pods I tested. Some things to note... I'm convinced I saw saw fingerprints on the bottom. I washed and dried mine off several times before I stopped seeing Aluminium residue on the drying towel. So, I suggest putting in some elbow grease scrubbing it down a few times before first use.

Works but........
Rec'd but will return. It's not deep enough and gets hot. I made my own maker out of a small canning ring, works great.

Works as advertised...
This product works as advertised. My only complaint is that it gets pretty hot after several pods. Maybe attach a handle of some sort? Anyway, I recently made 200 pods and it worked like a charm.

works ok, could be deeper
Would love for this to be just a little deeper. As of now, the empty pods I have don't sit all the way down flush. Meaning I can only put about 10 grams in it, and I have to run my iron all around the edge, instead of placing directly over the pod to cover and seal the entire pod at once.

overpriced
I wish I knew before I bought this that you can use a lid from a pint size mason jar instead and it works even better. This thing gets really hot too so be careful. It will last forever since it is solid metal.

Good idea since you can't find the machine any more
I ran across this item while looking for the Perfect Pod pod sealing machine, which apparently is no longer made. This should be a good replacement for it since PP is no longer available. I don't like the idea of having to use an iron, but it's a minor annoyance. I like to make my own pods (to use in my Bunn) because the commercial pods including all the Keurigs are pretty bad. Sealing your own pods, you get fresh coffee, gourmet or otherwise, and you can make up a batch of them in a short amount of time. Plus you don't have to drink coffee that has been run hot through plastic, and you don't add more plastic to the land fill. It does seem expensive, but I know what it costs to get something like this machined and it's not cheap. As for the reviewer that said a pint Mason jar lid would work as well, it won't - there is insufficient surface to flatten and seal the pod. I use the Easy Pack paper pods, but there are others available. I insert an old-fashioned Tupperware double sided biscuit cutter (probably can't find those any more) into the pod before filling it and this prevents the grounds from spilling as you fill it.
