Great light in a small package
I read an article several years ago about whether someone has the flashlight gene or not. If you think that there might be a flashlight somewhere in the kitchen, you don't have the gene. If you are always checking out the latest tech light, then you have the gene. I have the gene. This light, while pretty pricy, delvers what others can't seem to.It starts with a kickin' bright light. A double click drops it and a triple click makes it a night vision-sparing map light. When on, holding the button makes a strobe. I've not had to use that defensive feature yet.)The pocket clip keeps it right at hand. I carry it at all times. It's a bit short for most of the "hands together" pistol techniques. (I've not had to use that feature either.)I was a slow convert to the LED, previously preferring the halogen bulb. It does, however, get hot and burns through the battery much faster. Most of the plastic LED flashlights don't have the dimming feature and/or aren't as small to be on the person at all times. The nearest competitor seemed to be the SurefIre Back-Up. It is a bit pricey as well, but I had to compare them. (The gene, you know.) It has only 2 settings between which you can toggle (if you had the bright beam the last time, the dim beam will come up next time) and no map reading setting. It also has no strobe feature and is longer and heavier than the Storm.I prefer the protruding button version to the flat button. I just can't seem to turn it on reliably, even with bare hands.I gave it 4 stars because of the price. Break $100 and I'll give it 5 stars. 8~)

Best little flash I have ever owned
I love this light. It is fairly easy on battery life and bright enough to be useful. The secondary brightness is very useful camping or in power outages. The strobe setting is great for getting someones attention. It's small enough to pocket and never notice it until you need it. Has a handy pocket clip on it. Water proof from experience. Non-slip surface is useful for numb or slippery hands. Simple one button control. I use this with my Novatac "Light Clamp" quick release mount. It then becomes a tactical light for my glock, my AK or anything with a tactical rail on it. VERY PRICEY but once you have one, you can't imagine life without it.
