Big Value for the Money
I purchased this bike for nephew's birthday. Since the bike was coming from California, I trusted this product based on other exercise equipment. I was not disappointed. This a really solid bike. 1. It was pretty much put together right out the box. 2. No need for instructions other then adjusting the brakes which an instruction manual comes with. 3. Before I give a gift of this sort, I test it. It's smooth, fast and stops on a dime. I rode it for about an hour, short and long distance while changing every gear. Its an 18 speed gear bike. Gears switched easily. Dont try to switch gears while not riding as it will make that clicking noise and may damage the gears. Overall, its a solid bike. Oh by the way, the front fork has shocks built in the frame. Nice surprise!! So, the only thing I would say is put it all together and if your inexperience, take it to a bike shop just to have the brake set properly. Everything else is light work. The instructions tells you the basic tools needed. I did everything with an allen key, vice grips and pump which are a must. I went to the gas station which cost me $1 for more air. The seat is adjustable and comfortable. Two reflectors are already on the bike (front and back). Safety is in mind of the seller. The tires has really good grip and meat. I'd say this is a teen and adult bike. It has a kickstand as well.

DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!!
I bought this bike because I had some Amazon gift cards. I just wanted something to get back and forth to work. From the first ride, this bike had nothing but problems1. On the first ride, the screw for the brake caliper came off will I was in motion. I had to stop and look for all the screws and washers and reassemble on the road2. The brake pad on the back left caliper disintegrated on one side, these will have to be replaced all around.2. As I was riding back from work, I heard a clicking noise as I was pedalling, but didn't really worry about it. Then, I took a pedal, and the crank turned inward. I had to walk the bike home about .5 miles. When I got home to examine the bike, the spindle end had sheared clean off! I did contact Pacific Cycles and told them what happened and they informed me that the seller is not an authorized seller of the bike (Only a particular department store beginning with a 'W' should be selling it), but they did send me a new spindle and crankset (on this, the service was good and very fast)I would have sent the bike back to get a full refund, but instead I will use this opportunity to brush up and learn some bike mechanic skills for the next bike I purchase.Overall the parts of this bicycle are quite bad. I don't expect a 90 dollar bike to blow me away, but at the very least it should be able to hold together for more than 2 weeks. About the only decent parts on there are the frame, the chain, and perhaps the handlebar. All the rest should be thrown away and replaced, but if you are going to go through that effort, save your money, and buy a better bicycle like a Diamondback if you want a less expensive entry into cycling.

Nightmare
In July,I bought this bike as my son’s birthday present, but till today, I did not get want I want and also did not get refund, that was ridiculous! When I received the first delivery, my husband found one of the tire was completely flat, many times of trying to fill it, we did not make it, that means somewhere broken, finally we found 3 cuts on it, that was so disappointed.and we have to return it, till this time we got to know it was sold by another company not Amazon, after put a lot effort to put all the parts in the box and we have to sent the box to the FedEx, because they don’t have service come to pick up the box.ok! At this time I can still keep me calm, the customer service promise to me, the replacement would 100% no defects.Another 2 weeks went by, everyday, my son asked me if the new bike is coming. Finally, we got the replacement, so hilarious, the whole family crowded on the porch to assemble the new bike, luckily, the tire is good, assemble was not so hard, the last step, put the peddles on, but the most speechless thing happened, one of the peddle axis is too small, not fit. I can’t express how we were disappointed at that time.I was trying my best controlling my anger then contact the company’s customer service, they even did not even say sorry to me, and tell me no parts can deliver to me, I have to return it, I told them the box was broken I can not mail them back, then no answer. Is it cheating? The amazon customer service is also unbelievably bad.after two times claim, and 2weeks investigation, they still don’t have a answer to me!

Okay cheap bicycle.
This is an okay cheap bicycle. I had not ridden in about 20 years. I have a small acreage and I thought it would be be fun to mountain bike around on my property. The bicycle works, but a few problems I have run into with it.1. Feet hit the front wheel when doing a sharp turn. Apparently this is a common a problem with some bikes and even has its own term, toe overlap. This has big time toe overlap and my feet are not that big.2. The tires are not very tough. It only took a few days of riding around on my property before the tires started leaking air due to small thorns on the property. Fortunately this is easily resolved with a little bit tire sealant injected into the tubes. No more leaks.I would call this an okay first bike, if you have not ridden in a while and are not sure if you want to continue riding. However I would not call it a serious riders bike. I will probably go to my local bike shop and buy something a little better quality at some point in the future.

Great bike.
This is my second Roadmaster. My first was a used one that I traded for in 2013 and its still going strong. I like this bike as much as my old one and hope it lasts a long time. Assembly was fairly easy until I got to the brakes which were a pain and took a long time. After riding daily for a couple of weeks one of the pedals shattered. The plastic crumbled just as I was beginning to pedal. No clue why.
