Perfect
I recently bought a 2+2 platform rack and then realized I had no convenient place to store it. This mount worked perfect to hang both pieces together and relatively minimize the wall space.I mounted it on concrete and added some holes because the rack is a monster and weighs ~90lbs.

Excellent Bike Rack Wall Storage Mount
We really like this wall mount, it's exactly what we were looking for. The mount is sturdy and was easy to install. An added bonus is the receiver the rack fits into swivels from side to side. We store our ladders against the wall behind the mount, so the swivel action gives us easy access to the ladders. Our bike rack used to sit on the floor and now it's neatly stored against the the wall. This mount is good value for the price. We would definitely recommend it.

Mediocre Strength
Could be stronger to hold rack. I bought this to hold our Saris EX Superclamo bike rack. It is a little weak. Mine is mounted to a block wall and had wobble when using factory holes. I ended up drilling this mount and added more holes for the Tapcon screws to make it more secure.

Works great. Keeps the garage neater.
Great product. Only complaint is that it says fits 1 1/4”, but I didn’t realize it would fit loosely. I ended up buying a reducer so that the bike rack would go in straight and smooth.

Nice way to mount my bike rack to a wall.
I had been watching this Swagman X Mount Bike Rack Storage for some time. The reviews were overall good so I was waiting for the price to come down. It came down a few bucks and I was tired of tripping over my bike rack laying on the floor of my garage. I mounted it on the wall of my garage making sure it was mounted on a stud in the wall. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I did not like the mounting screws it came with. Instead of using the included screws, I purchased 1/4" X 3" lag bolts and washers. The larger lag bolts prevent the mount from folding to the side but where I have it in my garage, this wasn't important. I have a heavy Yakima 2 bike rack that folds open to hold the bikes under the wheels and this wall mount holds it just fine. I had thought of trying to have it hold my bikes while mounted on the wall but there was too much give for my comfort.

This bike carrier mount is perfect..
This bike carrier mount is perfect...just what I was looking for!! I hung our bikes on the wall of our garage using the Rubbermaid Fast Track and the available bike hooks. I had been leaning my bike rack against the wall, but it was collecting dust, dirt and scratches. I found this Swagman X Mount Bike Carrier Mount and am so glad I did. I was debating between this and another brand. I went with this one due to the better price. I put plywood up (it is an unfinished garage, so the plywood was attached between 2 studs) and then mounted this right against the plywood. It went up in about 5 minutes and was super easy to install. My one concern was the size of the screws that were included - I am mounting a very heavy 5-bike rack to the wall and was concerned that the screws included would be a bit light weight. So, I drilled larger holes in the X Mount and used significantally larger lag bolts. Now, I think the walls will fall before this thing does!!!Anyway, my bike carrier is now off the ground and it looks great. I have had many compliments on how neat a mount it is. Plus I can keep my ball hitch on it as well.5 stars for price and build quality...I would recommend to anyone!!

Nice rack...mount!
What a perfect storage solution especially for a large hitch mount bike rack! It cleans up my garage, keeps the rack off the floor and out of the way, and I store my bikes on it in the garage. It even doubles as a work stand for easy jobs like lubing the chain, cleaning the drive train, etc. Some people on here mentioned an issue with the screws, but the 4 included are plenty long. Just make sure you're screwing directly into a stud, and use all 4 screws. No way this is going anywhere, and that's with a heavy Yakima Holdup rack mounted to it.My only complaint is that the 2" part of the rack that inserts is too long and interferes with the pin that keeps the rack from moving side to side. Not a huge deal and can be fixed with a little drilling, but I have to dock a star for it being not quite perfect.

Just what I was looking for!!
Great Product! I purchased the Swagman to store my Saris 3 bike rack. The good, well made reasonable priced and easy to use. I won't use It, but the there are two notches on this rack will hold a trailer hitch / ball hitch. The bad (not a big deal) the screws / heads that come with the holder seem a little too small for me to feel comfortable holding my bike rack to the wall. I used 2 lags in the bottom two holes and their screws in the top two holes. (the top two holes need small headed screws for the sideways tilt to work). You will also need to unscrew the receiver to put the top screws in (no big deal as they have tack welded the nut in place good thinking!). For me the sideways feature will not work as the Saris bike rack is too wide, but if you have a rack like the Swagman Hitch N Drive (that is flat) is a nice option. Bottom line I would definitely buy it again!!

THE solution for rack storage
The storage rack is nice and sturdy. Easy to install with a powerful enough drill Those who mentioned to use lag screws instead of the supplied, useless, flimsy screws are right. Lag screws are easier to drill in and the the storage rack leans tighter against the wall. The four pre-drilled holes accomodate the lag screws. I am using the storage rack for a 1 x 1/4 bike rack. The description as to "1-1/4" and 2" receiver style bike racks" is somewhat misleading as it makes you think that the design accomodates both sizes outright, which is not true; you need to have an adapter for the smaller size. Luckily, my bike rack came with the adapter. The problem when using the adapter is that it requires a bit of fiddling to align the bike rack hole, the adapter hole, and the the storage rack hole, if you what to insert a pin to stabilize the bike rack. In addition, when you pull out the bike rack, the adapter slides out with it instead of staying in the storage rack. So, when you put the bike rack and adapter back on, you repeatedly have the holes alignent issue. I resolved this by inserting a block of wood inside the bike holder, after fiddling a bit to figure out the required block length, and wedging in the adapter with pieces of wood. That explains the lost star; a better design would resolve this issue. Once the bike rack is properly installed on the storage rack, it is very stable, especially if you have a screw-in type of pin. Note that I tested it with a two bike rack. I have no reason to believe that the storage rack will not do the job a heavy four bike rack. Question is, if you put four heavy bikes on as well, whether the storage rack will bend. The design is such that the 2" receptacle is held by a linchpin to allow rotating the receptacle away, sideways, not really useful feature as the receptacle is not that long. A locking pin holds it in place. So, a heavy 2" bike rack with four heavy bikes on for storage may require the receptacle to be soldered. I would contact Swagman to ensure that the rack holder is strong enough. All said, for the vast majority of users, the Swagman storage rack will be highly sufficient, up to the task of having the bike rack off the floor and bicycles well stored on the bike rack. A well worth investment.

Be cautious if you have to use cement wedge anchors to hold the bracket.
Because I had to attach this anchor to a cement wall I had to enlarge the screw holes to 3/8” diameter for the 2” wedge anchors to fit. This meant that the removable pin that holds the swivel feature perpendicular to the wall wouldn’t insert properly due to the hexagonal nut from the wedge anchor sticking out too far. It would have been okey if only two wedge anchors had been used in the lower two holes but the weight of 3 bikes stored on the bike rack necessitated the top hole to be used to keep the bracket firmly against the wall. If bikes were not stored on the bike rack then two screws would have been okey to hold the wall mount so the pin would have fit fine.

Does not work on 1-1/4" bike rack
I purchased this item because it was advertised as working with '1-1/4" and 2" receiver style bike racks' but there was no adapter in the box to accommodate a 1-1/4" rack.On the sales page there was even a photo of a 1-1/4" rack working with the rack (see attached). If you have a 2" rack this would likely be a good product but if you have a 1-1/4" then don't waste your time.I will be returning this item.

strong enough to hold four adult mountain bikes
I have a bike rack being capble of taking 5 bikes . When we are done with our biking trips, I would normally take it down from my car and store it in the garage. One day, when I was looking at the resting rack and bikes taking big room in the garage, suddently started wonderring if there is something that can let me use the rack to lift all bike off ground, so I can get my Civic inside for cold season. Luckily, I found this, and everything I had been wonderring became reality. The one thing I can think of to make this product better, just like some reviewers mentioned, the screws coming with it is not sufficient for heavy load. I believe this will not add too much burden to the seller, but more convincing and peace of mind to buyer.

Great product with one major flaw
The screws are the worst design for something that is designed such a heavy load. 3 of the 4 screws were stripped in the installation and I had to upgrade to my own screws to get it to be secure. The design would have been better with hexagonal head screws.
