Freshly installed Biltwell Gringo S Bubble Shield (Chrome Mirror)

My Midnight Flake Biltwell Gringo S came with its original clear Flat Shield, this meant having to carry around my sunglasses everytime I rode my motorcycle, and having to swap them with my prescription glasses which can be quite the hassle.Installed this new visor on the weekend and rode a couple of times. Felt now I have even more protection from the sun since the visor covers way more area than just sunglasses of course, and I get to use my prescription lenses.One thing I suspected and it was the case, was that the visor isn't really "chrome" as in "silver", it has a black shade to it with a mirror finish. I like that you can't see what's behind unless you're really close to the visor.You have to be careful how you grab it since it is a fingerprint trap but that was no surprise. Don't know yet if it scratches easily but I'd dare say it's a matter of how you take care of the helmet itself.

Cheap film on visor. Can be removed with little effort. Bad quality for the price.
I want to leave a good review badly on this item, BUT after my first ride with the visor installed on my gringo s, I went to pick a little road debris off of it and the finish came off. I was in total disbelief and stupidly attempted to see if my fingernail could actually completely remove the mirror finish. Sure enough it did. Now a small bug splatter is a giant scratch square in the middle of my visor. I’m SO disappointed. It appears the “mirror finish” is just a flimsy film-like tint applied over a smoked visor. It’s a cool visor, and came as advertised, but if you buy, beware! You’re going to have to baby this visor with the softest of cloths and cleaners.

Better look, less durability
Excellent aesthetic appeal over stock shield, though offering little functional improvements. Anti-fog coating is relatively effective. Outer mirror coating scratches and wears very easily.

I was sceptical at first but oh my goodness does my helmet look 10 times better and completes my cafe racer look. (People cant tell im staring back at them when they stare at me at intersections lol)

Scratches Easily
I bought this to go with my custom helmet. It looked nice but scratches very easily!!! The scratches are so bad, I can’t wear it. Money wasted, DON’T purchase!!!
